Poppy's Mamma ♥ Donating Member | Internet scams. It seems internet scammers have hit a new low. For the past few weeks I have been getting the email scam stating I have been chosen to hold so many million dollars in my bank account and if I do this they will give me 50% of it or whatever. Of course you would have to be pretty dumb to believe that, but they have now taken to using a the name of a CHARITY in there scam mails. This is what I have just recieved: Be inform that OXFAM GB -UK have award you £850,000 Contact Dr.Terry Williams. Email(enquiry_terrywilliams0210001@live.co.uk) For those of you not familier with OXFAM it is an international charity focused on fighting poverty. Now how sick is that to start using them in the scam mails, like I said you would have to be pretty gullible to believe someone would just GIVE you all that money but it seems the scammers have sunk to a new low in the hope of finding someone who will believe them. Theres also the old puppy scams where they pretend they have a free puppy and all you have to do is pay the shipping costs. Last year when I was looking for a bulldog pup for my boyfriend I had one scammer say he needed to give the pups away for free because they were his wifes dogs and she died (but he changed the price and location about 20 times). GRRR I just wanted to vent about these low lifes.. do they seriously have nothing better to do with their time? Any more classic scams to watch out for?
