| King SNAKE in our backyard! My husband and I were on our deck talking, when he said "OMG!" I walked quickly towards the French doors to go in when he said that there was a snake up on the bank. I saw it!! It was a 4' King snake. We don't live in the country, but we do have a wooded area up on the bank. I love our deck, but now I'm afraid to go out there. A while back, my husband saw a snake on our deck!! That was before we got Prince. Prince was not in any danger because we keep him inside 24/7. The weather is so hot and humid here that it affects his CT, negatively.

Very tame and calm snake, the only one I like and will touch. | |

| If it was a King Snake -- please don't harm him -- he is really your friend. If there is a King Snake around, he is hard at work taking care of disease carrying rodents and poinious snakes. I can understand your fear, but I don't think a 4' king would try to harm your precious Prince. |

| I'm not worried about Prince right now because he has been staying in the house 24/7 because of the weather. When it gets cooler, I won't go out there with Prince without my hubby. Yea, that's what they say, that King snakes are the good ones...but still... Britster, how did you guys get that snake out of the house? And yorkie mama 22, you have a snake as a pet????????? I told my husband that when we move, I want a high-rise!

| Oh wow! I had a similar thing happen yesterday. I went out to gather eggs and there in a next box was about 5ft black snake having MY eggs for breakfast. I am not afraid of snakes so I just took lots of pictures and video of it eating. (The teacher took over and I saw an excellent teaching moment there I guess |

| Reading the title gives me goose bumps. I'm very afraid of snakes and I can't even look at them on the tv. |

| King snakes are the GOOD GUYS! Just leave him alone and he will protect you from dangerous snakes and keep rodents away. |

| Anyone for a swim? Found someone, other than me, JB or the pups, swimming in the pool one morning. Just another King snake taking a dip and escaping the hot sun. I scooped him out and let him go in our neighbors yard, was waiting for the .

| Unfortunately for the black snakes we see...Keegan the snake killer is always on duty. After several burtal murders....I think the all moved to the neighbors yard.
