Ya that just pretty much disgusted me just like the threads where people post videos of their dogs humping stuffed animals.

But apparently those who believe that sex is a private matter, between two people, are in the minority here.

JeanieK, it was done in the OFF Topic Section. Anything can be a discussion in that section. I can see your point if she had posted in the General, but she did not. And as far as the picture of a Vibrator, some use those to soothe tired muscles. I saw nothing wrong with the pic.

Ya I think that a sex thread on a yorkie forum is pretty stupid too. But you know pretty is as pretty does, the same goes for STUPID. As judge Judy says, there is no cure for STUPID.

Again, a member of the YT community took a problem to the OFF TOPIC forum to discuss with people she was comfortable with. I personally think it was quite innocent. While AGAIN I would not do that because of the kooks on the internet, I fail to see your points about it.

I really think what you are saying here about that person and her possible motives as you see them, as unkind. :(

I think members have every right to state their concerns about a threads' subject matter. I personally didn't and won't read it because I would never talk about my sex life on a dog forum or any forum for that matter. Don't feel it belongs here either. No one is saying sex is dirty that I can read in this thread, so why are some insinuating that?
Why are people jumping down others for bringing their concerns about what could be offensive, or objectionable material? Why are some so peeved by that? And why make it sound like they are stupid for saying it?
IMHO, every member has a right to state their concerns without fear of "some" jumping on them about it :thumbdown

JeanieK, I don't mean to be rude, but clearly you ARE offended. I posted a thread in Health a few months ago asking why my dog was suddenly getting a lot of erections, and you accused me of creating it just to "stir things up". Do you not see how rude you can be about this topic? Calling someone who started a thread pathetic and attention seeking? That's really cruel.

To me, there's an obvious reason why the thread in question is not "obscene": it's purpose is not to arouse the reader. It's a practical question on an issue many women struggle with in their marriages. Why is that so awful? :confused:

As for whether this site should be "child-safe": I would say that the many threads here express views that are not really appropriate for children. Not because they are dirty, but because they express grown up attitudes. What about the thread "What About Us?", with some very sad pictures and stories of dogs in puppy mills? That has "graphic" in the title, doesn't that also attract attention?
