| I find it strange that some people dress their dogs up as if they are children. We don't do that in the UK as far as I know. As far as my Ted is concerned, the most he gets is a red collar and lead instead of leather. I have seen on TV that some people buy young monkeys and treat them like babies, dressing them as babies, putting nappies on them and feeding them with a bottle. Yuk! i strongly believe that animals should be allowed to be animals not copies of us humans. Last edited by Casso; 05-28-2010 at 06:02 AM. |

| I don't dress my dogs either (although I did dress Edie for the 2009 YT meetup--that was a result of peer pressure ). BUT I am OK with others doing it if they wish. I have to admit that many dogs on YT have extensive and beautiful wardrobes. I personally do not have time for that, but to each their own. I do enjoy seeing the fine workmanship and the bold fashion statements! Last edited by alisonJ; 05-28-2010 at 08:43 AM. |

| My Ted is a dog and not a substitute baby or a toy or a possession. He is a member of my family as my children are and is loved and cared for in exactly the same way. I would never ever allow him to be considered anything other than a dog, that would be demeaning to him. If anyone expected me to dress him up I would be sick. |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Bonsai looks beautiful in her dress. Bridget has 2 dresses - I don't put them on her often - usually just for something special. LOL - of course with a bow to match!!! Mostly I love the vests that are made - since she has to wear a harness anyway - this is a nice option that adds a little style and color (and I find them easier to put on most of the time)! Anyway - I've always they were beautiful dogs ever since I saw them on a show on Animal Planet.

It is fine if that is what you choose, but why is it wrong if others of us choose to dress our dogs? I don't think it is wrong at all. They are still dogs, they just look cute and many times serves the purpose of wamth, safety (with a harness type), and mine just know they are cute in their outfits and love them. I don't think it is wrong either way and everyone has different opinions. And Bonsai is adorable! I think it is great she gets to be a princess just like the small ones. : )
