I am so sorry for your loss. It sounds like you had a wonderful relationship with your mom and she left you a wonderful legacy that will be passed down to your daughter. May your memories comfort you and make you smile. You and your family will be in my prayers.

She never cared whether or not she was liked but had many friends because she always stood her ground and behind her convictions and never faultered in her love for Jesus and she was just so outspoken and didnt' care if she were politicially correct LOL...she was honest in her word and let ya know if you were wrong LOL...again, I'm just so honored to be the type of person she wanted me to be and that was just like her! I guess that is why I'm so outspoken and have the passion I have because she was just that so passionate!! She will greatly be missed!

What a beautiful tribute to you mother. I'm so sorry for you loss, but you were so lucky to have a shinning example set before you. In your case the apple didn't fall very far from the tree.

Nancy thank you! My mom was my shining example I have to laugh at the memories I have of my mom because now the memories are so much stronger...I know she was more outspoken than even me LOL...the apple sure didn't fall far...she made me a strong person even when I feel small and weak. She is now my guardian angel and I know now I can survive anything because of her! She will always be my rock! For now I know I can speak my mind and always know she's smiling from above!

Your post is so touching, I didn't have a good relationship with my own mother, and I really envied those who had nurturing relationships. Your statement of "she made me a strong person even when I feel small and weak" is exactly what I wanted to do for my sons. I think if you raise them right they will always have this inner strength.

My relationship with my mom wasn't always bed of roses, she was a very demanding woman but it never mattered whether or not we fought like cats and dogs, we would still fight to the death if anyone hurt the other! My mother raised me right and I followed in her footsteps with my own daughter and your sons will be as good as you are! Mom never backed down from anything and would do it with such passion. She never strayed from her beliefs and I am so thankful she taught me to be who I am and do everything with passion and love.

she didn't care for the amount of dogs I had LOL...but yes the same qualities she had is required for a great breeder
