:( I am so, so sorry for your loss. I cannot begin to imagine the pain of losing someone to that...something so preventable. Your entire family and all of his loved ones are in my thoughts and prayers. :love: This hits home...I just got my license and all of my friends are or have gotten their's within a couple months of me. I'm psychotic about driving safety (I'm really active in my school's SADD program, it kind of comes with the territory), and the stupid things I see my friends doing behind the wheel just scare me to death. I'm honestly dreading the day I find out that something has happened. With the way some of them act in a car, it's really only a matter of time. Driving is one of the scariest things in the world and people (whether they've been driving for 30 minutes or 30 years) sometimes forget that, and unfortunately it comes with tragic consequences. My heart truly goes out to anyone who has been touched by this kind of tragedy... |
It's been 2 months now & we're all still hurting so much over this, especially my sister of course. :( |
It will take a long time. I\'m sure the parents will never really get over it. There will always be that big, sad hole in their hearts.:( |
The 3rd young man is finally on his way to recovery; he\'d had a severly crushed lung & the other was damaged also as well as other injuries. He\'s been moved from critical icu to regular icu now. I cannot say enough how strongly I feel that we really teach our children well. I just wish that our nephew had stayed in Florida with his "strict" mother instead of moving to NY with his lax father & step mother. *sigh* I think this is a big part of our sadness. We missed him so very much the last few years & now we\'ll miss him until we all leave this earth. |
So sorry for your family, sending healing prayers to your way. Is really so sad is not only young people who does this, many, many people drink and drive, they think they are ok to drive, and they are over the legal limit for driving, is just sad and make so angry too:(:mad: |
