Where are you from: Central California - but I've lived in England, North Carolina, Nebraska, Texas, and other parts of California

What made you decide to buy a Yorkie: My parents had Yorkies when I was a child and I've wanted one of my own ever since.

Have/do you have any other pets: I've had many pets throughout my life: Chi-Chi (Yorkie), Luke (Yorkie mix), Milo (cat) -- my parents' had two other Yorkies as well, but they were really their dogs hehe

What are your hobbies?: I like to do web/graphic design, scrapbook, read, watch TV and movies and of course ANYTHING to do with my family.

Are you married/engaged/dating/single?: Married to Dave for almost 7 years.

Does your significant other love Yorkies as much as you?: He's getting there. He used to be a "big dog" guy - but Sandy has turned him, I think!

Do you have any children? If so, what are their ages and how are they doing with your Yorkie?: I have two children: Andrew (5) and Natalie (almost 4) - they are great with both animals, but I am a really strict (mean?) Mommy! I don't let them play with the dogs alone or hold them.

Anything else interesting that will help us to get to know you better?: We're an Air Force family but are finally not going to be moving for awhile after living in 8 houses in 6 years. I volunteer to foster animals for my local shelter and from time to time will have a foster here with us. I only take small animals since Sandy is scared of big dogs, so I don't get them that often.

Your Yorkie's name and ages: Hercules will be 6 months on the 1st. He's weighing in at 5.2 pounds. And we'll have a little girl in about a week. More details on her will follow, in fact probably more than you'll want to know! hehe

Where are you from: Grew up in Chesapeake Beach, MD. Now live in Crofton, MD. Pretty good location, about 30 miles from DC and Baltimore.

What made you decide to buy a Yorkie: I have always wanted a yorkie, so when my boyfriend and I moved in together, I thought the timing was finally right.

Breeders: How long have you been breeding, how do you like it? What made you decide to start breeding?: Not a breeder, but I definitely appreciate all those breeders out there! Such hard work, but so rewarding too!

Have/do you have any other pets: Nope, I grew up in a family that wasn't really into pets. But ever since I got Hercules, I know "understand" what it is like to have a pet and love it like it's a human.

What are your hobbies?: Hanging out with Hercules. Seriously, right now my dog is my life. I plan on him continuing to have a major role in my life, but it seems like during puppyhood, a lot of time needs to spent with them to train them properly.

Are you married/engaged/dating/single?: Dating a great, wonderful guy. Did I mention how great he is?? We've been together 4 1/2 years.

Does your significant other love Yorkies as much as you?: Oh yeah! So much so, that he is getting a little girl now. I think it's hilarious how much guys can fall in love with these little dogs!

Do you have any children? If so, what are their ages and how are they doing with your Yorkie?: No human kids yet, only yorkie children!

Anything else interesting that will help us to get to know you better?: I work at the Census Bureau as a survey statistician. I've been working there since 1999, right out of high school. Kept working part-time while I went to college full-time. Graduated from University of Maryland in December 2003 and then got the full-time job at Census. Right now, living on my own for the first time (with boyfriend) and having Hercules are the main things in my life. But they are both the greatest things ever, and I'm so very happy! Sorry I wrote so much :)

Where are you from: I'm an "Army Brat"...lived just about everywhere...but
have lived in the Upstate of South Carolina for past 26 years....so this is
home now.

What made me decide to get a Yorkie: I had Oscar for over 13 years...his
death 2 years ago devastated me....he was our 'kid' after our daughter
moved out....I have been secretly searching for another and finally got
her 3 weeks ago!!!!

Breeding: No...but if this puppy will get big enough I may have one litter so
my daughter can have one....after her kids grow a bit!!!

Do I have any other pets: YES!! I have an old, retired racing
greyhound ....Lori...(age 13 years) who is probably not long for this
world..... and a 10 month old chihuahau named Apple.....got her
by 'default' when my yorkie/mix puppy died....but now love her to death
and is Lil Bit's best buddy!

What are my hobbies: UUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHH....currently trying to find a few
minutes to check in @ Yorkietalk...also reading and chasing grandkids...
and loving on the dogs....

Does my hubby love my yorkie as much as I do: He would never admit it ...
but I catch him worring over her not eating or taking her meds

Any children/ages: one daughter,Amanda....age 27 and 3 grandkids, Beth, a
step-grand age 12, Adam, age 4 and Macy, age 22 months....and an
upcoming international adoption but sex unkown.

Anything else interesting about me: I will be turning 50 years old in 5
weeks....I am running away from home ALONE for my birthday....I am
writing a book about the whole experience.....I am a pediatriac Home
Health Nurse ..I get to play with tiny premature babies EVERY DAY and
they even pay me to do it!!!!.....

What made you decide to buy a Yorkie: I've had big dogs all my life. My boyfriend's parents and brother have Maltese. I know that I will probably be living in an apartment/condo for a while so I wanted to get a toy dog. Yorkies are the cutest and seem to be the most personable.

Have/do you have any other pets: I had Midnite, a black Labrador, that I had to put down in August. She was the sweetest dog. We rescued her from a kill shelter about fifteen years ago.

What are your hobbies?: reading, going to baseball games & concerts, playing with my nieces and nephews, movies, making jewelry when I can find the time and of course reading stuff about yorkies and posting on YT.

Does your significant other love Yorkies as much as you?: I think so. He's very patient and playful with baby Stewie. He gives him a lot of attention and is always worried about him.

What made you decide to buy a Yorkie: My mom and I bought a Yorkie a while back and I knew that I wanted to get another one when I was out on my own.(he is the one on my avator.)

Have/do you have any other pets: I have two angle fish. I used to have a cat named annemarie(named from all dogs go to hevean) ( :( I got her when I was in preschool and she died when I was a sophmore in H.S. of feline lukemia)
What are your hobbies?: It seems like I am studing all the time, love to hang out with friends, talk on yorkie talk, watch scary movies...

Your Yorkie's name and ages: Mia, 7 months yesterday, 5 lbs

Where are you from:[COLOR=Teal] Originally from Burlington, Ia - SE corner on the Mississippi, but since married have lived in Mt. Vernon, IL (2 yrs), Arlington, TX (8 yrs), Phoenix (4 yrs), Cedar Rapids, IA (8 mo), Wichita KS (5 yrs) and now Rio Rancho NM - just outside of Albuquerque (almost 4 yrs)

What made you decide to buy a Yorkie: I wanted a dog for ME (thus Mia) and one that I could take with me when we travel. I taught with a lady in TX who had 2 - named 'girl dog' and 'boy dog' - years ago and they were wonderful.

Breeders: How long have you been breeding, how do you like it? What made you decide to start breeding?: I want to breed Mia, just looking for the right male to buy.

Have/do you have any other pets: Poodle who will be 15 on St. pats day - blind, deaf and lives outside/on sun porch as she has totally refused to be house trained, since day one. Still acts like a puppy. Brandy, the 103 lb chocolate lab age 7 - was a pound puppy on death row. Tiger - a hypoallergenic devon rex cat age 8 - these are REALLY neat cats(I used to raise persians). Spot - a leopard gecko. Rex a bearded Dragon. and Perky the percula clown fish. We just had our dalmation put down as when we had her 'spayed' years ago in Phoenix, they made a surface incision and took nothing out. She went septic and after over $3000 in vet bills on a 9 yr old dog the vet said " I didn't think we could save her" UGH!!!! We went through a ton of money and a traumatic 4 days to get to that point.

What are your hobbies?: I sell(mostly kids clothing) on Ebay to help pay for my son's gymnastics which is about $10,000/yr. Read a lot, Do volunteer work at the gym, and run my kids. DS #2 15 is a nationally ranked gymnast so we travel a lot - almost every weekend from Dec - May. DD 13 is a competitive fencer.

Does your significant other love Yorkies as much as you?: He was totally against getting another animal, but, although he would NEVER admit it, is now totally in love with Mia. He tries to hide it and it is really funny!

Keeps trying to dognap Mia and take her home. He thinks she should be named Waffles. Wants me to swear that when I breed her he gets a puppy. DS #2 - 15 1/2 - Loves her to death, but won't admit it publicly.
DD - 13 - Totally adores Mia.

What made you decide to buy a Yorkie: A FRIEND OF MINE HAD ONE (OSCAR) FIRST TIME I HAD EVER REALLY BEEN AROUND ONE. I TOTALLY FELL IN LOVE WITH HIM. SO, AFTER BEGGING MY HUSBAND FOR ABOUT 3 MONTHS, WAS FINALLY ABLE TO GET THE "SON I NEVER HAD".

What made you decide to buy a Yorkie: My sister had a male yorkie and we all fell in love with him. We wanted to get our own.

Have/do you have any other pets: We have 6 teddy bear hamsters, we got Goldie in Jan after our previous hamster died. It turned out that she was pregnant. We also have a fish Betta.

Does your significant other love Yorkies as much as you?: Yes he does. He wanted a yorkie as bad as me. He felt in love with my sisier's yorkie also.

Do you have any children? If so, what are their ages and how are they doing with your Yorkie?: My son is 12 and my daugther is 4. Gucci gets along great with my son, with my daughter she plays nice but when my daugther gets close to me or i tell my daugther to stop it she turns into Cujo. (Gucci not my daugther)

Im a stay at home mom. I suffer from fibromyalgia and chronic depression. Getting Gucci has being the best medicine.

What made you decide to buy a Yorkie?: Grew up with them and my husband wanted to get me a small dog to cheer me up.

Have/do you have any other pets: :animal-sm I have a beagle named Daisy who is 2 years old but she's living with my parents right now. I had three cats before we moved but I wasn't allowed to bring more than two pets with me and didn't want to have to choose so I found friends that wanted them. They all got to stay together which is great. :cat:

What are your hobbies?: reading(when I can), sewing, trying to quilt, talking on YorkieTalk, SHOPPING!!!

Does your significant other love Yorkies as much as you do?: He's getting there, he's always been a "big dog" guy, but every once in a while I'll catch him loving on Buster and calling him "his boy"

If so, what are their ages and how are they doing with your Yorkies?: :love: Isabella :love: , 9 months and she doesnt' really understand what Buster is yet but he keeps trying to help her when she's trying to crawl by getting behind her butt and trying to push her. It's really cute and funny!!

Anything else interesting that will help us to get to know you better?: We are an Army family lived in Virginia Beach, came to Germany kind of for our Honeymoon and then found out we are moving here and now over here and wanting to be back in the states SOOOOOOOOOOO badly! Bella loves being here with daddy again but I think sometimes she really misses Grandma and Grandpa. Buster was actually a gift for me when we were here on vacation and now he's back in his home country. Funny how things turn out. My Beagle is with my parents because she wasn't able to make the long trip over here and I definately didn't want to put her up for adoption so my parents offered to take her in while we are over here but I don't think I will ever get her back.

Anything else interesting that will help us to get to know you better?: I'm a twenty year old freelance graphics designer and a full-time Accountant at a mortgage/Real Estate tax firm. I am absolutely in love with dogs. I shop on spare-time and I'm a fashion addict. I'm also, slowly but surely, getting addicted to this forum. I find it funny, really, because my boyfriend spends his day searching through car forums (because he has a love for fixing up cars) and I spend all day on the other computer searching through Yorkie stuff. :teeth: That's all I can really think of!

What made you decide to buy a yorkie: I have always wanted a dog as a pet and was never allowed to have one. So I researched many of the smaller breeds starting about 2 years ago and after all was said and done I decided on the Yorkies!!!! Where are you from: I grew up in Kentucky but have lived in Indiana for the last 22 years.

What made you decide to buy a Yorkie: I researched different breeds for about 2 months before I got Bo. My husband didn't want to pay what Yorkies cost here so I looked into Wire Fox Terriers (too much like my VERY excitable Schnauzer and supposedly hard to train), a 1/2 Yorkie, 1/2 Shih Tzu (that particular puppy didn't capture my heart for some reason), a Shih Tzu (I actually lost a $100 deposit on the Shih Tzu when I found Bo, hubby wasn't happy about that), and then I found a listing in the classifieds. A woman whose friend had a Yorkie and her Yorkie and her friends bred. They aren't breeders but her mother used to. Anyway, they ended up with a litter of 2 pups and no facilities to keep them in so they wanted to be rid of the puppies. She said Bo was 6 weeks when I got him but my vet said probably not. But, he was eating his mother's food and was well socialized so I feel I got a bargain. I'm not bothering with the registration. He will be neutered at 6 months. (Sorry so long winded! :sleep:
