Last year we puchased an RV and we go camping when ever my husband is in the states. Buddy & Jake love to go in the camper also. I like cooking, mainly exotic foods. I am VERY close to my family. I ride in a carnival krewe for Mardi Gras and have for the past 7 years.

What made you decide to buy a Yorkie: My daughter has been begging for quite a few years to have a dog. When my husband finally gave in but with the stipulation that she had to make the honor roll first, I was already hooked on the idea of owning a Yorkie. I convinced him on Christmas Eve to allow me to have a Yorkie pup for my Christmas and birthday present. Ever since I was a young girl, I've wanted a yorkie or a silky. So . . . Carter is my pup.

Have/do you have any other pets: I have a 33 gallon flat-back fresh water aquarium with various types of tetras.

What are your hobbies?: I enjoy working with the university Sports Information Department in game day duties of public relations and statistics. I also enjoy photographing sports action on the junior high, senior high and college level - especially LSU sports.

What Made You Decide To Buy A Yorkie: In 1988, our family wanted an inside dog. At that time we had a Lab & Siamese cat. I knew that I would be the one to have to clean up after inside dog so I wanted the smallest cutest puppy available. Talked husband into Yorkie for $350 which was just unheard of to pay that much for a pet! Mocha was a great pet - passed away at 15 1/2 in 2004. After ten months, we purchased another Yorkie! (Wish I could have found one for $350! ;) !)

Have/Do You Have Any Other Pets: No. We want to add another puppy to raise alongside Kodah - we are considering either another Yorkie or maybe a Maltese. Have located a breeder who will have new litters of both the end of this month.

What Are Your Hobbies: Have always had a passion for photography. I love to take pictures & also love to look at others' pictures! Along those lines I have learned to "photoshop" on computer & usually print all of my own pictures. I love to jog everyday (except Sunday - my one day off!) - helps me stay in shape & clear my mind. Like to read & spend time with family! I'm the youngest (even though I will be 49 this summer) of 11 & most of my brothers & sisters live close. My mom, 87, is still in very good health & lives only a couple of miles away.

Does Your Significant Other Love Yorkies As Much As You: Probably not, mainly because Mocha was such a "mama's dog"! He does have a soft heart for pets, though, & is excited about getting Kodah!

Son will be 26 in a couple of weeks, graduated from Univ of OK & is a computer programmer; daughter just turned 24 & graduated last year - she was a cheerleader at OU for 2 years - looking to be a school teacher; and daughter, 20, is a sophomore at University of Central OK - she was an elite gymnast until 15 & traveled all across the US & even went to China on the US Women's Team! (Proud mom, huh :D ) They are all three sooooooo excited about getting Kodah even though they are all out of the house - girls share an apartment & son lives in Norman, OK. Our son was probably the closest to Mocha for 15 years! We always spend Sundays together at our house with their friends and the girls are in & out of the house during the week - they hope next Sunday to have Kodah joining us!

Where are you from: Minot, North Dakota (Central part of the state near the Canadian Border. Yep...gets mighty cold here and I don't like cold...nor does Maddie!

What made you decide to buy a Yorkie: My sister had a yorkie named Rhett Butler. We described Rhett as "Yorkie Extraordinaire!" He was the sweetest, lovable, funniest dog and he could say, Ra Ruv Roo (I love you). I was his favorite person and they couldn't say my name around their house unless they were coming to visit me, because Rhett would get so excited and start barking and carrying on. They started spelling my name, but he caught onto that too. He was such a joy. I was lucky in that whenever my sister and brother-in-law traveled, Rhett got to stay with me, and lucky for me, they traveled a lot! We had to get Rhett put to sleep the day after Thanksgiving a couple of years ago. I still miss him so and still cry thinking of my little Rhett. It was knowing and loving little Rhett that gave me a love for the Yorkie breed.

Have/do you have any other pets: I have an aviary full of birds...mostly different species of finches and canaries. A lovebird named Chico that we got for my son many years ago and he didn't like my son, but loved me, so became my bird. I've got a little tame bird named Dusty that I rescued from the aviary that the parents were not feeding. By the time I noticed, only 1 baby was living out of 3, so I handfed the little guy and now he doesn't know he's a bird. LOL Has to have a cage all by himself and used to get out of his cage often, but with Maddie around, he doesn't get out too often anymore since Maddie wants to bite him. LOL

They are all very well behaved with Avery, and they know the rules. They have to be sitting if they want to play with him, and absolutely NO picking him up.

What made you decide to buy a Yorkie: I had always wanted one! Never knew I could get so attached! It's kind of funny that I clean up thier accidental poops and pees and throw ups just like I did my kids! You don't mind doing it for your own, but "others" make you nausious!

Breeders: How long have you been breeding, how do you like it? What made you decide to start breeding?: I'm not a breeder but I just had an accidental litter from both my male and female. Didn't plan it but now I'm so thankful! They are precious and hubby says I get to keep one! ;) He doesn't know it yet but I'm gonna push for two!

Have/do you have any other pets: fish (outdoor and indoor) and an outdoor cat that walks with my hubby at 6 AM with the dogs (gosh, I hate calling them that)

What are your hobbies?:my love of my yorkies and anything and everything to do with them, horseback riding, ebay, and my new love, YT!

Does your significant other love Yorkies as much as you?: YES, he does:) We compete for their affection :D I have children (human) from a previous marriage but he doesn't have any. They are his babies too and he treats them as such! He's a good Daddy:)

Do you have any children? If so, what are their ages and how are they doing with your Yorkie?: Two boys, age 20 and almost 9. My 9 year old adores our babies. He calls Bitsy our Golden Girl! I thought that was so cute! He made that up on his own! He's a clever child:) Bitsy is the girl I never had. She has all the frills and lace and is pampered to no end! My 20 year old doesn't live here, and wouldn't admit it, but he loves them and babies them when he is here> He thinks I don't notice but I do. He's a more "macho dog" kind of guy.
