They don't sell them here in the netherlands yet,. but when i visit USA in Summer i defenitly want one. Since I made the switch to Imacs and an Iphone I need an Ipad. :D

LOVE my iPad! It's a 3G and this past weekend I was traveling and could get on the internet at any time or place. I LOVED it!

I love mine too and just got it on sunday 3 days after it started to be sold in canada, am typing on it right now!!! A million times better than a laptop, I hate those things and I have not been on my desktop iMac all week.

Ipads make things so easy, no mouse, scroll bar, pad....... Just tap, tap, tap. :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

I just got the 32wifi model and use MyWi a application to connect using my iPhone anywhere I can't get regular wifi.

Seriously don't know what I did before I had an ipad and I have a MacBook pro. I have friends who are looking into computers and this would be what I would suggest before getting a laptop. It has everything a laptop
has and more!! Has anyone seen the new 4G iPhone yet? Next thing on my list and they are $199. I remember when the first iPhone I ever bought was like $700. Can't believe how cheap they are and how many cool things if does!! Would highly reccomend the ipad though!!

The iPhone is still expensive, the $199 price is for the 16gb with a contract. The phone is still $599 for the 16gb and $699 for the 32gb model without a contract although most people have a contract of course.

The new phone looks cool but I was disappointed there once again are no other color choices other than black and white. Those bumpers with the colors just don't cut it. Seems like an after thought and expensive at $29 a piece they should be a 3 pack for that much.

I most likely will keep my 3GS for another year until the iPhone 4g comes out. The better camera on the 4 will be nice as well as the front camera, better battery, folders and multitasking as well.... So who knows hmmmmm...... Maybe I'll get the new phone. I'm really trying to hold off, lol.

What are you guys using the iPad for most? It does seem like it would be nice for reading. If I travel, I would always bring my laptop tho.

Can you get magazine subscriptions on it? THAT would be nice. No more cutting out articles!

Hubby got me the iPad for my birthday and I love it. He order it sometime in April but I didn't get it until the day after my birthday which was May 7th. I got the case two weeks earlier than the iPad.
We are a Mac family, we will never go back to PC's!
I haven't had any problems with with it at all.

Yes and most major newspapers! I am using it for email, reading, photos, watching videos and movies...one of the coolest apps is the abcplayer...you can watch all your favorite abc shows when you want to watch them (all past episodes like grey's, desperate housewives, bachelor, supernanny etc.) and you can jump from episode to episode and it saves your place where you were in each one! It gets cooler by the day! And the keyboard is super easy to use and you can dowload pages (mac's version of Microsoft word) and do all of your work on the iPad! I have a MacBook pro and it is collecting dust now! Couldn't imagine when I purchased this that it would get this much use! Crazy!

I really love my iPad too! i use it all the time for reading, getting on the internet, watching movies, and the usual things previously mentioned. What I really like is that I have a 3G and so I can get on the internet anywhere there is an AT&T phone signal. My hubby and I travel to lots of places where there is no wireless. Yes, I have an iPhone, but I don't like reading or typing on the tiny iPhone screen, so the iPad is GREAT! Photos just look fabulous on it too. And downloading is a breeze.

One of the major plusses is that it fits in my purse. I absolutely love that about it, so not only can I get on the internet anywhere, I can take it anywhere!

Anyone want to share tips and tricks? I just learned if your on a webpage and want to go back up to the top of the page you just have to tap on the battery on the top right corner and it takes you to the top! Also double hit the space key after the end of your sentence and a period appears.

Almost all the same tricks that work on a iPhone work on the iPad.

Yes for some of them. Some you just need to hit a button to 2* them to fit the ipad screen and others have a version for the iPad already. More apps come everyday and others get adapted.

I have the 32 Gb Wifi version.

I thought I wanted the 3G but decided to go with just Wifi - so far its working out well.

Concerning tips and tricks there is a free book you can get from the bookstore called "iPad user guide" and it has all kinds of nifty little shortcuts in it!!

You can download the ios4 update when it comes out for free to your 3gs. Obviously, you won't have the "hardware" (camera etc) but you can have folders, multitasking etc on your current phone. I plan on getting it to "appease" me until I am eligible for the iphone 4. :rolleyes: Here in the states, I think it is available 6/21 :D

I'm going to do that as soon as the jailbreak comes out for the new update until then I'm just sticking to my 3GS since I already have folders, multitasking and so much more on my iphone already. These phones can do so much more than Apple let's us.

That's the only thing I hate about Apple they could really leading in cell phone technology but the hold off on so much. Like the iPhone has been capable of multitasking and folders........... for years, they are "just" letting the consumer get these features now. I still think they are the best phone out there for my needs but will continue to have my freedom with my phone with jail breaking.
