| Ok, tell my i am over thinking this! My mom had breast cancer in the summer of 2004..she came out like a champ..always said she couldnt say it was cancer. if she did she would have been so depressed and it was hard on her physically like with anyone that goes through it. she had surgery to remove the lump then they went back in 2 days later to remove more in the same spot..OW! then it was chemo and radiation shes got her hair back and its been 2 yrs since she was "cured" as the doctor puts it ok now im worry and over analyze everything i always see the negative i cant help it...my husband is my total opposit in the department. mom has had a cough for roughly 4 months now...medicine starts helping then she gets it again..hospital did a xray and said she had broncotis more medicine..then one doc said was the BP meds (which shes been on years no problems but i think they did recently double the dosage) she went to i guess the cancer dr today..and they want to do a cat scan "to rule out if anything is there" ok...does that mean they are looking for another tumor?!? i asked if her what they said they would be looking for and she just repeating the previous quote... she didnt tell us anything last time until she got all the facts..and i broke down..yt was with me the when it happened (thanks) i just hope and pray that im getting worked up for nothing..i didnt say anything to her but that to keep me updated. love ya, night night. |

| What BP med is she taking? My mom was taking on and had a cough too and also had a cough. What stage and type of breast cancer did she have? How old is she now? Has she had yearly mammograms since she had the original DX? CT scans are pretty routine and I have had them since I was DX with Ovarian cancer 2 years ago.

| I just want to say that I will keep your Mom in my thoughts and prayers! One of my best friends is going through stage 2 breast cancer right now and it's tough. It's inspirational that your Mom is a survivor, that brings hope to all! Please let us know how everything turns out!

| the only thing on the bp meds is shes been on that years they just recently upped the dosage and she was coughing before then..she thinks that she just keeps getting the cold..i think it started with the flu we had here, then she was almost rid of it and then got stuck in small meeting room with someone who was sick and got it again..the meds start working and its almost gone then it comes back full force |

If she is going every 6 months for her mammos they are closely watching which is a very good thing! Do you know what type of cancer she had? Was it DCIS -Ductal carcinoma in situ? Breast cancer is highly treatable so even if it is back it sounds like they have really been watching her

| It is scary, I know. But it is a really good thing that they are being so careful and checking her out, just to be sure. I would be really happy with the doctor. With stage one, it is unlikely this is a reoccurence, but since she has had cancer, they always have to be conservative and check everything out carefully. I know it is worrisome, but I think it will be OK!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I will keep your Mom in my prayers. My Dad developed a bad cough after years on a BP medicine and they changed it and the cough went away.

| I can tell you that bronchitis can be very, very hard to clear. They have to use just the right antibiotic. Sometimes placing it in an iv and delivering it that way can get rid of it better than all of the pills in the world. I know it's hard not to worry. Try to keep your chin up!
