| What do you think? Would you consider this place a puppy mill? http://www.morleykennels.com/ Please tell me what you think.

| I think so just for the volume of breeds they claim to have! It might be a good idea to post this question on the millbusters site! |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | EIGHT different breeds ? - I have a feeling they are a large Kennel that keeps their dogs all in a seperate building and has lots of puppies. Too many puppies could mean lots of problems ....as far as a mill - Breeding dogs over and over for profit to me is a small scale mill - but to someone else it isn't. At least they didn't show them in wire cages. It reminds me of the Kennel in Texas I went to - they had multiple breeds (I found out AFTER I was on their yorkie site) - then I saw it in person and it was NASTY and nothing like their Website - THEN I found out they are selling sick puppies all over the place. So a Website is deceiving. IMO - I would not buy from there. Multiple Breeds are just a big Red Flag |

| Well here is the whole story....My friend bought a Great Dane from there, and just kept telling me how nice this woman was. Well my brother was looking to buy a Pug and my friend told me that Anita ( the breeder) had Pugs too. Well I thought that she just had Danes and Pugs, I did not know of all of these other breeds...Well my brother, who lives in the Flint area drove 2 hrs to my house to get to this place that is about 30 min from me.....I was going to go with him to this place along with the friends that he brought with him . Well he had to stop and get gas and so did I , while at the gas station me and the gas station owner had a few words about me bringing in my service animal and she was refusing to let me pay for my gas and said that if I left she would call the police ...wow I am off topic...but anyway I ended up calling the police( who took my complaint, and I filed it with the ADA) from my cell and my brother went out to this place, so I did not get to see it. My brothers Pug ending up having coccidious(sp) and had vet treatment. Well my friend tells me today that her Dane has Hip Displacia(sp) and does not know what to do. I told her to call the breeder and talk to her about it...Well that is when she told me about the website and all of the kinds of dogs that she has there. I was like OMG why did you not tell me that before, I would have told you not to get your baby from there. This breeder seems to be trying to avoid my friend now. I have no clue how to even report a breeder like this and I dont even know what I can tell my friend...all the breeder told her upon the contact was well if it does(the Dane) then bring it back it will have to be put down and I will give you another pup...My friend loves this dog soo much but she is beyond herself what to do...she said she is not taking Lokie( the Dane) back there to just be killed. You guys are so awesome that I thought maybe you could give me some advice to help my friend out. Sorry if this was so long.

| I just have to say realy quick the black and white great dane is gorgeous. As for the question about the website....I really dont want to be involved in a puppymill arguments. I feel that sometimes people on here can be quick to judge but I think it is GREAT that everyone loves animals that much that they are very sensitive to anything that might be a puppymill. I have a big heart too. I guess I tend to think of puppy mills as a place where dogs are kept in cage big or small with little personal attention(due to too many dogs). I really didnt see anything on that website that indicated that to me. But I am no expert whatsoever. I actually need to educate myself more on it but I am afraid of the heartbreak when I find out how bad it is. I absolutly HATE seeing any animal not cared for. It breaks my heart to flip through all the petfinder ads trying to find homes for dogs that fell victim to puppymills .
