I agree that the security guard couldn't do much and that being the case he should have sent you to the office immediately and not voiced his opinion about your daughters internet activity! I am so glad you are persuing this...you are a good mom..as shown by your support of your daughter in a very uncomfortable situation!!! It probably is some little snot at her school doing what he thinks of as a funny prank...somehow I think when the cops talk to him about it it won't be so funny anymore! Whoever it is needs a good slap!

Ok, I took a well needed trip to the park to have some fun with Cherish and Gus. Now I'm off to pick up my daughter and take care of Biz. Wish us luck!

Ok we made a report with the local police department. They gave us a case # and are looking into it. As far as the school goes, there is nothing they can do till they know for sure it is really someone who goes there. We were able to track down this persons ISP and IP address. (code that is) So we sent a e-mail to verizon (the ISP he used to have the myspace account) with all the information we had found along with an attachment of the messages that the person sent my daughter. So with a little luck we will find out who this sick person is. Mean while the profile is now deleted. We don't know if it was because my duaghter reported it or he did it on his own because we were on to him. What ever the case is,,, we will press charges if and when they do find this person.

I want to thank you all for your support. This mean alot to me.

There was a parent that found out about xanga.com and how much info some people (including her daughter) have up in the blog. She was concerned about possible sexual predators getting these infos and reported this to the school. The school in turn sent out memos to all parents to talk to their kids about the danger of posting private infos online.--- I hope the school your daughter is attending would have the initiative to do the same thing. This would warn other students and parents as well.

I'm not sure if KVUEnews covered this story or Fox7 did.

I tried looking for the article/story about this and found several more from other publications with the same concerns. If the school needs a lil push to send out memos, you might want to redirect them to these sites.

I can understand what you're both going through. My daughter was stalked by an internet predator, and we had to get the police involved too. They caught him, and he went to jail. He was 25, and my daughter was only 14 at the time. It was a nightmare.

The IP address...may not be for that person at all.

A lot of times, IP addresses are recycled. And not everyone has a fixed IP address. So you may or may not have the right person if you manage to track down the address.

Just thought I would add this info not to discourage you, but is truthful info...

Thanks pixiepooh for the info. Yes my daughters school passed out a memo not too long ago. And they are willing to do what it takes to help out in this matter.

As far as the IP address,,, I don't know all that much about that, but the police said it would help if we can get that info for them. Usefull or not, I do not know. We will find out more later. Hopefully very soon. The detective said that he is working a few cases at this time and will get to this one asap. He said to be watchful, beware of strangers, and friends for that matter. He also said it could be some kid trying to scare her. But it's good to put it on record.

Wow I am so sorry to hear about that. Its so scary all the psychos that like to jack with people onthe internet. It ticks me off. I hope they catch the person behind it. Way to go for calling the principle and the filing a report! So far it sounds llike you are an AWESOME parent to me
