By this statement, do you mean you use the foundation and the "warmth" but not the mineral veil? I'm not sure which product people are referring to when they say "warmth". All I can find is this.... All-Over Face Color Bare Escentuals bareMinerals Warmth All Over Face Color Ulta.com - Cosmetics, Fragrance, Salon and Beauty Gifts Is that what you're referring to? It looks so dark but I'm guessing that the color of the powder is misleading?? |
Angie I tried the matt. I got it from a seller on Ebay for cheaper than the store. Umm I have to say I need to try it when the weather cools down. Right now I am getting color on my face and I don't think the shade matches right. I honestly don't like it as much but that could be because my coloring has changed slightly. As for the acne I took the advise of my friend and saw a derm. He gave me antibiotics that I took twice a day for a month and two seperate cremes to put on the rosacea spot (one at night and the other during the day). My face has been acne clear for a month now. I was worried because I am stressed beyond with my current class load and schedule but I have been clear. The acne was being caused by an over production of some sort of yeast. So for those suffering the acne save the cosmetics and go straight to the derm. Best co-pay I have spent yet. I am wondering if I have a bit of an irritation to the BE make up becuase of the minerals in it. From time to time I will get a little tingle. I know my sil has since stopped wearing the foundation and the veil becuase it makes her itch. She is only wearing the eyeshadows. |
One more thing.... I've never really gone anywhere without having my powder compact available for little touch-ups. I can't imagine carrying around this loose powder. What do you do about touchups? |
I also picked up the hydrating veil since I had dry spots (which the derm fixed). I didn't really like it that much. I felt like it made my face a bit oily quickly when that is never my problem with my skin. |

Nope, I was wrong... after reading another BE thread I realize I do have one more question (can you tell I think stuff to death before acting on it?? :p). Most people are surprised to hear that I only use a bit of concealer and Lancome loose powder (I touch up from time to time with the pressed powder). In this case, do you think I could get away with just using the Mineral Veil? Is that kind of a substitute for powder? If I wanted a fuller coverage - say, during the winter when my skin is more sallow - then I could go with the foundation? I'm just not sure I understand the Mineral Veil so much. I do plan on going to an Ulta and talking to someone but I didn't want to sound completely stupid with too many questions. And I am still curious about touch-ups throughout the day. At least just a little powdering of the nose. |

Mineral veil is very very sheer and has absolutely no coverage and is a real finishing powder. I would suggest using a little bit of your foundation as a replacement for your last "powder" with your concealer. If you use mineral veil and your concealer it might not look even. You could try it but that's my guess. Hope it makes sense... |
They have a compact that you get as a free gift with mineral veil in it. It's hard to explain but its not loose. And it definitely does last all day long!! |
Free gift with the starter kit sorry... |

Thanks for all the answers Mary! That pretty much tells me everything. Will be heading to Ulta soon. |
I don't know if anyone mentioned this but I have B.E. and I love it-the only thing that annoys me is that it can be very messy! My bronzer=when i openit, it gets everywhere! Does this happen to anyone else? |

Oh and while you are there take a look at smashbox "photo finish!" I can't live without thi product! It's a very lightweight primer and fills in fine lines, wrinkles and pores and helps your make-up go on flawlessly and stay on the whole day! It's AMAZING!!! |
