Thanks. It's been hard being back in school working towards my Nursing Degree but I am doing it. I need the makeup to cover up some of the dark late night study circles under my eyes...lol. What products are you using from Clinque? I am looking for a good and natural looking product to just highlight my face.[/QUOTE] I swear I had a field day (like you just did) when I first started w/Clinque. My cabinet looks like a Clinque counter. I use their face washes, toner, night time eye cream, the even better skin tone corrector, the gel moisturizer (as I have very oily skin), foundation, eye shadow, eye brow pen, lip liner, gloss...you get the picture. I will say Clinque has many different consistencies of foundation...some people like that caked on look and some want a natural look...I go a tiny above the natural look with my face powder too. But for an all natural look I just use the foundation which is their almost makeup w/SPF 15. I'm curious to see if you like the BE makeup as much as some of the others do. I've thought about trying it, but Clinque keeps my face break out free and clean looking. |
I have been using Bare Minerals for about 4 years and I love it. I was back and forth about it at first. I only use the foundation, warmth, sometimes mineral veil, and a little of the eye shadow. I still have the first eyeshadow I bought 4 years ago. A little goes a long way. |
I have class all day friday and sat so sat night I will do the whole video and mess with it again. I am super excited about it. I realized I really need to stop and take better care of myself. I am always outdoors mowing or sitting in the yard and I never stop to think I need sunscreen or any of that good stuff. Suffice to say I have some freckles. ...lol. Funny I get to killing myself with school and realize I need to add more to my already hectic day  |

Financially its all taking its toll but looks wise I feel a bit better. Got an actual hair do... like a style, not just a knot around a scrunchy in my head... got some makeup and cleaning products and my skin is clearer, losing some weight and working out more.... its all good, but school does take its toll on you big time! |

check out at Target...there is a line of brushes that really good. I know that I am not going to remember the name but it is sonia kosnick--again I am probably wrong, but they have white handles. They are the closest brushes to the BE one that I seen and tried. They are not too inexpensive but a lot less than BE. |

Okay..... I am home today because my son was really sick last night. I have some serious circles because I didn't sleep all night. I just did my face and it looks awesome. I didn't do any shadow since I am home but I did the rest of my face. Wow it's looks so nice. I can't totally get rid of my freckles (don't want the heavy foundations) but my face looks nice. I LOVE IT. Now it's just waiting to be sure I don't start itching. I hope it does well with this acne I have been getting. Can you believe it at freaking 34 now I get acne. It is a wee bit messy but hey what's a bit more dusting if I feel like a princess. On ebay there are some folks that made some display stands to keep on your dresser so you can display your stuff. I think I am gonna get me one. My sil just did her's as well. When we went that night I got her a starter kit and some extras as a birthday gift. She just did i ton her own and she said she loved it. It was easy to apply and work on (great for us girls that never played with makeup). She wants to go to the mall this weekend and pick up some shadows and stuff. |
I'm hooked on BE, I've been using it for 3 years. I just recently tried the mat finish and love it. I tried the eye shadow and other make-up products and did not care for them so I just use the foundation. Bobbi brown has wonderful nutral eye pallets and her concealer is wonderful should you need a little extra coverage for the tired eyes. I have very sensitive skin and found the BE application brush to be irritating so I use the brushes from the Body Shoppe. As for removal, I love the simplicity of the oil of olay wipes and they really leave your skin clean and soft even if you forget to moisturize. |

Has anyone tried the acne stuff? I was thinking to get it for my 13 year old to try. I was also looking at the newer mineral veil..it's a hydrating formula. I thought it might help since I have some dry skin spots. |
You can get a more matt finish with BE by applying the foundation with a makeup sponge, rather than the brush. I just lightly dip my dry sponge into the powder and then smooth it on my skin. I really like that look and it is quicker for me to apply. I always use the brush for warmth - but I like the more matt finish the sponge gives me. |
I have acne prone skin and a few years back I tried the mineral make-up and my skin rupture with acne. It took me three years to finally calm my break outs. I've always had acne but the BE worsen it overnight. I bought it because it suppose to be great with pores but not in my case. My friends who are not acne prone absolutely love it. I have tried all types of foundation from the cheapies to the $$$. So far the best pharmacy brand is Revlon with Flex and if you can afford it buy the airbrush you will love it. |
I use the "well rested" whenever I get dark cirlces, it seems to really help. :) I use it whenever I want to perk up around my eyes. |

I'm going to revive this thread to ask those who use the BE products about the regular vs. the matte foundation. I want to try this but am not sure which one to go with. |
