| Scam or Not? I guys i haven't been on in a while. my schedule has been crazy busy. I have like 30 pages of new posts to read. Yikes. Well charlie and i are doing great. Anyway i get to my question. I came across this website and it has great deals, but it starts with number. Is that suspicious. Cuz you here it on the news that websites that start with numbers are usually a scam. It was a sponsered link on google, so i clicked on it. so what do you think. scam or not. heres the link http://194.135.81.10/Out01/index.html also there is no way to contact them, like usually on the bottom there are links about them and stuff. i am growing more suspicious....

| Yes, the fact they use numbers only as their main site, have no company information and are download only for popular software programs usually is a red flag that this could be a scam. Be careful! |

| ok i clicked on the sponsered link again because is said www.buyusa.com and it went to their site this time and said this Beware of sites offering instant downloads, downloading these programs is illegal. We offer original media delivered to you. We have been in business since 2002, while all of our competitors have been shut down for illegal activities. We will still be here 3 yrs. from now. so somehow i must have got routed to a different site.

| 1) That site is 100% without a doubt a scam. 2) For everyone out there thinking OEM (without boxes, just cds with codes that look official, and are often even real) is legal, it is not. Any OEM software is only to be bought and used with a system. Any OEM software for sale without a system is being illegally sold. It's really a fine line, and many will tell you this, but specifically in the user license agreement it is stated word for word that if you have bought the program as an OEM separately from a system purchase, as far as the company that created the program is concerned, that is an unauthorized version that's as good as pirated. Sure, you can get away with it, and many don't care, but if you're an ethical person that does care, just a heads up on that. Edit: When I said scam up top I really meant illegal. They probably do give you the program, but it is in no way shape or form a legal means of distribution. You are most likely supporting piraters. |

| I know, they are all over ebay, and it makes people think they are legal, but technically they aren't It's kinda like this...I've seen plenty of mod chips for gaming systems on ebay, but they were outlawed about a year or so ago. |
