And yeah, I agree... it's cold obviously, but it's not like FREEZING unbearable. The only thing that hurt was the snow flying in your face. It just stopped snowing here! finally!!

I am Canadian so i am use to this... The dogs are so funny when they come back inside full of snow!

They love running in it too!!!

I'm 50 miles south of D.C., straight down I95. We have *only* 12" snow. It's a heavy, wet snow though.

I'm glad your husband made it home safely. What was he thinking traveling in this weather?

I have been grilling my chicken on the deck all winter, but I didn't have the energy to dig out the grill tonight after doing 130' x 25' of driveway. I'm going to have shoulders like a linebacker before this winter is over.

I heard Coalville(sp?), Maryland had 40 inches on the ground. Now, I assume they must have had some of that already, but I don't really know. I think I'd pass out if we had 40 inches out there. I know Kacee would pass out!

lol, you would think they had a bath the way the rub all over the couch when the come back in. The rub their little heads all over the seats of the sofa too.

Maggie loves running on the snow, she's my terror. Hot Rod has decided he likes the snow and was actually have a ball with it last weekend when it snow.

lol, that's why I made sure to have canned goods just in case the power went out...wouldn't be able to get to the grill, lol. The snow on the deck is probably up my waist. :eek

I know, I could just smack him!

I made him call me every half hour just to make sure that he hadn't run off the road so at least I would be able to narrow down where he was. There is a stretch of countryside that has no commercial business or homes close the road for that matter!

It took him about 5 hous to get home while normally it would be a 3 hour trip. He said that traffic was 35-40 mph of the Jersey turnpike and that that was clear. It wasn't until he got to that stretch of road did the conditions deteriorate and then he was the only one the road as well...go figure!

Oh and then he managed to get stuck just down the street from the house as the snow has been blowing from the winds! He got stuck in a snow drift and had to walk some 50 yards in thigh deep snow--he is 6'1"!! :eek

thank goodness a friend of mine husband is going to do my driveway, that is if he can make it out. But then we have a neighbor who has a big old tractor with a bucket on the end who has done several driveways in the neighborhood this past snowy winter.

Men! He is very fortunate to have made it home safely!

I'm counting my blessings this morning, but I cannot help being bummed that the snow did some serious damage to my garden. Two of my 15' holly topiaries are snapped in half and the others lost a lot of branches. Grrrr!
