**It's a blizzard out there!** LOL 4 Attachment(s) We gonna be stuck for a long while!:eek::eek: lol These are @ 5 pm, 9:30 pm; 2:40 am; 2:40 am Attachment 307197Attachment 307198Attachment 307199Attachment 307200 Here are a couple of pictures that show the progression of the snow. The last picture is a little high due to the winds that are blowing the snow up against the house. The winds are howling and the electricity has hiccuped twice now. I just hope we don't loose power. The yuky part of this is hubby is out of town in Jersey and they are supposed to get hit as well!! So no telling when he'll be home. The babies and I are hunkered down. Got plenty of food, water and bullies to keep us occupied for awhile. :D Fortunately we have a propane fireplace if the power goes out and the tank was just filled up not too long ago so we're good to go. ;) All of you who are getting this stuff, hope you all have lots of goodies to tide you over! Stay safe and warm! |

I'm just really upset that it's been snowing raining on the weekends!!! I haven't been able to get anything for the last 3 weekends and then some cause of rain or snow. :( We did get out 2 hours early today...but I want it to snow like this on Monday! I may get my wish, it is supposed to snow again Tuesday. lol |
Do you usually get snow in the winter? We go out daily here in Alberta, no matter how much or how deep the snow is. Maybe every two or three years school might be closed due to snow for a day but mostly due to extreme temps like -40 F , but other than that life goes on. I think we are used to it. Good luck next week. :) |
I don't remember too much snow in recent years but we do get snow. This year it has been really bad. We just had about 8" last weekend and then we had about 9/10" in December. I don't mind snow, I just hate that we've been getting it on the weekend. I very much look forward to my weekends to get things done that I can't do during week from working. :) The more cold weather we have, the more I keep thinking about go south! I'm from New York so I'm used to snow. |

Yes, your area can definitely get snow and with all the transient people, the roads can be a nightmare. I remember well, driving home from crystal city - south 27 miles and it taking me 8+ hours on south 95 :eek: I feel for you and don't miss it - tho the snow storms I refer to most often paled in comparison to your pics! Stay warm - the rest will all wait ;) |
Aww Bo, I do feel your pain. We've had plenty of snow this winter to last me 2 or 3 winters. From your description of how much snow you've had in one of your posts above, Nebraska & MD seem to be on about the same weather pattern. We also got more yesterday, maybe 3-4 inches, and more is expected on Sunday. Enough is enough I say...................42 days til SPRING!:rolleyes: |
I am getting so sick of it. I have only seen grass once since December. We already had about 8 inches on the ground when this hit. They are callling for up to 2 feet in my area. I just hope I keep power. Then Tuesday another big storm is coming through. |

OMG, Bo! I feel ya! I'm at my dad's house. It's INSANE!!! It's almost up to the top of our fence. Jackson, Mr. Snow lover, even looked at me like I was crazy. We've been letting the dogs potty on the porch! I did NOT want more snow -- ahhh! And the scary thing is... it will still keep snowing until 9-10pm. It's gotta be 2 feet already. |
