we got snow today in nyc!!! finally |
The company I work for was closed today, I had a snow day!! It was great!!!! Jersey was so happy to have us home today:) |
We have TONS of snow here in North west NJ, hubby is home today too... and maybe tomorrow...:) |
They cancelled school here last night(tuesday) and we never saw a flake until after lunch...total wasted snow day. We have about 4 inches now and its still snowing at 8.30 pm... rose and levi |
weeeee!!! We had today off and we have tomorrow off too. Apparently Gov. Christie has declared a State of Emergency. Our road dpt. ran out of road salt a while ago...and said they wouldn't be able to get more this season. But that issue has been addressed, it seems, and they are back in business. The snow itself isn't TOO high (about a foot and a half so far), but the banks are HUGE. almost as tall as me (I'm 5'3"). I was just outside playing in it for a little while. :p It's the PERFECT snow for a snowman. Tomorrow is going to be awesome. :D But while I was out there a chunk of ice/snow fell off the tree and hit me in the head and now I have a headache. :( They're prediciting another snowstorm Sun/Mon/Tue. We'll see what happens. |
They canceled schools here 'til Tuesday! Monday is Presidents Day anyways though. |
Jeanie, you are so thoughtful  Quote:
Tomorrow is my birthday! My only happiness is Tessa and hopefully another yorkie form yt, I will know soon! Vicki:aimeeyork P.S.The phones went out for awhile! |
we are buried! The winds were wicked here today. I can only see about 1/2" of the tips of my deck chairs! The are pushed forward onto the table. The snow level is above the height of the deck set! |
I wondered who was getting all of "our" snow this winter!! 2 days ago all we had in the yard was grass. This storm at least brought us 4" of new snow. ;) Hope everyone is safe & warm. If you need any road salt, we have lots. Our port is the drop-off point for this side of the state & winter is passing us by this year. |
No snow here! It was really a slap to the weathermen this time around, they basically closed Boston, no school for lots of schools and we ended up with NOTHING. It rained a bit but the grass never even disappeared, it never got cold enough to stick. Oh well... some people left work yesterday at noon so they didnt have to drive home in the 'mess' that was supposedly to be the typical evening commute with 1 - 2 inches falling an hour... but more like 1 - 2 flakes falling an hour! LOL Oh well... we've had a good winter so far *knock on wood* |
