Our power went out around 3 am. Luckily I bought a generator this week, so I got that running around 7 and fueled the fireplace and kerosene heater. We're pretty toasty right now. Hopefully the power will come back on in the next 30 hours, cause I don't know if I have enough fuel beyond that :eek:
Spent the morning shoveling ... not my idea of a fun and relaxing weekend.

I can say this cause I'm in Houston and not shoveling....not worried about power and could wear shorts today if I wasn't such a weenie in the cold - (53 degrees) but the pictures you posted are BEAUTIFUL :thumbup::thumbup:

I grew up on the East Coast and do miss the snow - but I don't miss all that goes with it. The weather is NUTS this year isn't it ?

Hope everyone is safe and no power outages. It's too cold to have to deal with that on top of being snowed in - kind of sucks all the fun out of snow days !

wooooooo we got snoowwww :) It started last night around 11. I woke up this morning to only about 5 inches. It's still coming down hard and we're expecting another 4-6. :) I'll take pictures soon.

we're just having a fun snow day inside. :) We'll shovel tomorrow when it stops snowing. ;)

I'm not jealous of my brother at the moment. He's on the fire department and they've been out since 2 this morning doing various snow-safety things. Brrr!!!

Sue, oh my goodness! I'm so glad you have your generator! I pray you get your power back soon. Ours just bounced. :eek:

Wow,so sorry for you guys, we did not get any here in north west New Jersey. late last night we got a dusting but gone by morning.
we ditched the bullet this time..:)

Being that I'm in New Hampshire, it was soooooo weird to watch the news this weekend and hear about all that snow, and none of it hitting New Hampshire at all. Usually its us who is all over the news for snowstorms that bring FEET of snow! I feel for those who got hammered, but we've been there, done that... so enjoy it! :) :) :)

But so did I. NOTHING!:cheer:Amazing. I couldn't believe it when
I looked out the window on Sat morning. Nothing was there.
My sister, in So Jersey called me screaming, she couldn't get out
the door. They wound up with 30". Usually they get nothing or just
flurries. OMG I can't believe our area
did not even get a flake. Let's see if we can be lucky twice in a row.

We're supposed to get another 12-18 inches Tuesday night through Wednesday day. I'm so exciteddddd. Snow day Snow day Snow day!!! :) Seriously...if we have school on Wednesday I will cry.

I have 2 foot+ on the ground right now and expecting 10-18 inches more by Thursday. I am so sick of it. We are running out of room to put it.

Snow is supposed to come tonight and tomorrow here in CT. 6-9 inches...we shall see.

This was our 5 foot fence on Sunday. Now were getting MORE on top of it!!!
