| People of Haiti I would like to ask willing members to remember and pray for the people of Haiti. My church has helped sponsor a school there and we hve not been able to make contact with any of our missionaries there. We have heard, not officially, the school is gone and many of the children are dead. I keep seeing their little faces in the videos they've made for us and sent back with missionaries. This is such an incredibly sad story and the more we learn the worse it gets. I am sitting here watching the news, waiting for updates, and I see people still trying to dig thier loved ones out of the rubble, piles of bodies blocking roadways, the sick laying in parking lots waiting for assistance. They are need of so much. Thank you! ~Amanda Last edited by MaddiesMommie; 01-14-2010 at 03:48 PM. |

| My thoughts and prayers have been constant for those in Haiti and I will continue to send them. I am so sorry for everyone affected and to hear the story of your close connection, not to even speak of the precious children.... is almost unbearable. Huggs

| I've been praying for them since it happened. I can't imagine the devestation these people are facing. All one can do is pray for them and help in any way they can. It tears your heart out of your chest to see what they are going threw. I heard on the radio this am that the food warehouse were food is being stored has been broken into and supplies have been stolen. Planes are having difficulty landing because there are too many coming in at one time with relief. These poor people are so unfortuate to begin with it's mind boggling what has happened to them now. Just keep praying and contribute what you can. |

| It is so sad to see this happen to any country but these poor people have always had a hard time. My heart and prayers go out to them and please keep us posted as you hear news about the school and your missionaries.

| Ok, folks I'll admit it I'm a Parrotthead (fan of Jimmy Buffett) and here is a message all of us got from Jimmy. This is through the Red Cross and if you feel inclined look at the video.

| I certainly will. As of yesterday, we had someone trying to get in contact with CNN to find out more about the school. Some of the kids from our church were trying to use Google Earth to try to locate it. I am not sure if they had any luck, I am sure I will know something after Sunday service if not before then. thanks |

| We will also pray. We have a church member from Haiti, she worked as a chef in the Haitian embassy in Washington D.C. Her son and daughter in law and 2 young grandchildren, also are members. Our choir directors sister in law is a missionary, she was in Haiti when this happened. She was found alive and is staying to continue to help others. Our church will be sending donations.

| My daughter is almost a 3rd year Medical Student at Uniform Services Univers of Health and Science in Bethesda Md. She is going to be a Military MD. Her school deployed all Board Certified Doctors to Haiti. Our Military is not all about war, we do a lot of Peaceful missions to support our world. God Bless the People of Haiti. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | When this happened I think we all knew how bad it was....but don't think we fully grasped how truly devestating it is. The more I see on the news the more my heart breaks for the hatian people. This is a country that already lives in poverty on a daily basis. I don't know how they'll ever come back from this.....It's truly heartwrenching |

| Good News but still bad We did hear from our people in Haiti! They are ok. I also found out that 8 of the 300 children who attend the school we help sponsor are dead. That is of course terrible news, but I am thankful it was not more. |

| So glad your people are ok but it is so sad that 8 of the children died. We must continue to hold all the people of Haiti in our prayers.
