| careful what you wish for I wanted just a little snow this winter. I got a little and lots of ice. I was scheduled to be at work from 4 pm - 8 pm today. I called at 3 to see if the call center was still open cause the road outside my house was snow covered. People in Knoxville panic when we get a little snow. / I was told yes. Clocked in at 4 and at 4:40 was told we were closing at 5. My manager knows I panic in bad weather so she asked if Jim was coming to get me. He gets off at 5 so I said no. They let me go on home. It took me 10 minutes just to get off the road work is on. Not very far at all. over 40minutes later I got to the intersection close to my house to turn left, the road was backed up by cars. It usually takes me 20 minutes for the whole drive home, I made many people mad cause the finally had to go around me. I called hubby the problem and he said just wait/cld dtr and told her the situation (she had just got off work). We finally met at the local Subway and had to leave my blazer and hubby's truck there. We drove her jeep home with jim driving. We finally got home at 10 minutes to 8. There had been at least 5 accidents on our road, the first major curve was solid packed ice. Some wonderful people had been out of their cars for over 3 hrs walking beside the cars showing drivers where to drive their cars to get through it. Lots of applause to these people. We made it home safely thank the Lord.

| I am thinking about writing an editorial in the local paper publically thanking the wonderful helpers we had last night. Of course I did not get their names though. I got to laughing at one man who helped us. He sd most had been there 3 hrs helping out and he sd that people who had been there 5 minutes thought they knew better than them how to get down the road. We knew enough to take their advice.

| I was watching the news last night and they were showing a road in Knoxville where the cars were all backed up. I bet you were in that line of traffic!!!LOL I thought wow I am glad I got home before the roads got that bad. Glad you made it home safe. I am dreading getting out this morning. I have to be at work at 8am. I keep hoping they will give us a call from the bank where I work telling us we are at least opening late.
