Waiting for the snow..
 
They are calling for 12-18 inches of snow by tomorrow evening. :eek: I hope they are wrong.. I was suppose to finish my Christmas shopping tomorrow. I just hope we don't lose power.

Anyone getting snow?

I saw that on the weather. It looks like parts of the northeast might really get it. I hope everyone posts pictures of the big event. I do hope you don't loose power, that really would be bad. Please stay safe everyone.

We are supposed to get 1-3 inches by Sat night. Then we are supposed to get more Monday. We have got to go to My Daughter Choir performance so I hope we dont get more than they are calling for.

I went out last Sun to go shopping and got caught in stopped traffic!
Here I am going 45 mi an hr, that was the speed limit, and came into
a wall of traffic. Didn't take long for the traffic to build up behind me.
Wondering what was going on, the car in front of me opened it's door
and a man started to get out to look down the line of traffic to see
what was wrong and almost fell! ICE! I opened my door and felt the
road, it was an ice pond. I couldn't believe it! who new. You couldn't tell.
Sat there for 1/2 hr until the Firemen came and one by one allowed the
cars to go in reverse to turn around and go out the otherside of the high
way. Once it was cleared the road was closed for the rest of the day!
I saw it on TV. I was so scared I went straight home. I couldn't believe the ice. I keep thinking of going 45mi an hr on ICE. That was too close
for comfort.

I will give it all to you..:D I am not the cold kind a girl. I use to send my kids sledding and watch out the window with my coffee... bad mom..lol I bought my 2 youngest snow boots and suits for Christmas..might have to give it early.:confused:

Oh wow I am glad you didn't wreck!

It was bad here last Sunday too. I was going out and got stuck on the hill in front of my house. I had to get my son to throw some gravel under my tires to get pull out..so I could go home!

Well, our lovely weather people have us getting 4 - 10 inches sometime tomorrow afternoon through Sunday morning . . .If that is the case, looks like we'll be staying in and not going to a family holiday party. Good thing I bought pizza dough . . .maybe I'll make fried dough for dinner . . .:p

Yummmmmmmmmm with confectionery sugar sprinkled on top?
Some hot chocolate with marshmallows to wash it down. Perfect!

It bet it would be yummy with cinnamon and sugar sprinkled on top. Pizza Inn used to have those on their buffet. I really liked them. I will have to try to make some at home.:)

I'm actually excited for the snow! It always makes me feel like a kid again. :)

We're expecting heavy snow 10-20 inches by Sat. night and into Sun. morning.

I'm so glad I got all my Christmas shopping done. Tomorrow will be a good day to wrap it all, hehe.
I am also going to make a run to the pet store tonight to pick up some bully sticks for Jackson
since we'll be indoors for a few days, I'm sure.

Now they have changed our forcast to a inch or less. Im happy it looks like its bypassing us this time. Everyone stay safe

Actually, as long as I don't have to drive in it, I don't mind the snow so much but it's the freezing cold temp's I don't like!

We have 13 inches and it has only been snowing since 3pm.. my husband is stuck on I77 trying to get home.. keep him in your prayers.

Hope you all make it through the storm safe and warm.

I don't like the slick streets, or being snowed in, but will still go out sledding with my grand kids. Just a kid at heart. I bought two snow boards today for the kids and grandkids to use on Christmas. I WILL NOT be using the snowboard. I'll do my sledding sitting down. :D

I just measured again and we have 17 inches... I am really worried. There is no way my husband can make it home... along with alot of other people on I 77.. I worry about the kids stuck there..

Last time we got this much snow so fast alot of people died when their roofs collasped...really worried..

WOW, it already started snowing here 30 mins. ago and it wasn't supposed to start 'til after midnight.
It's 9:35pm right now. It's already sticking like crazy and it's going to be snowing until Sun. morning!

Oh My!! We lucked out again here in lower Michigan and are only expecting flurries.

I just measured again.. we habe 22 1/2 inches here in Cool Ridge, WV

My husband has not moved since 5 this evening. He had worked all day. So he decided to try to bundle up and get a little sleep. He is saving his gas and only running the heat every hour or so..

I know you are so worried about him. Is the National Guard out rescuing people? Are they working to clear the roads? I pray he makes it home safe.

The weather channel is calling this a historical event. I am in WV also it just started a little while ago. We have almost an inch. Not suppose to stop til Sun morning with up to 20 inches. D.C is supposed to get 1-2 FEET. I hope your husband gets home safely!

What part are you in? Must be more north of me. It started her around 3pm and I have 22 inches plus.. I am right next to Winterplace Ski Resort.

Hubby still has not moved. They are at a stand still. Not sure what he is going to do. Everyone is just sitting. Traffic is backed up for 30 miles or more..
