| Lump in Breast Okay, I don't really talk that much in the off topic category, but I needed to share my fear and speak with someone who might have had the same experience. About 7 years ago I got breast implants as a reward for my divorce. I know that some may disagree with me, but I wanted to do something for me.... Anyway, last Friday my right breast started hurting. I found a lump about the size of a marble and it's very painful. I go to the doctor tomorrow morning to find out what it is. Breast cancer runs deep and hard through my family on both sides. I am scared to death. I've done a lot of research and found that there could be many causes for it, but I am still worried. On top of that, I have a litter of yorkies due this Tuesday. Can life get any more stressful?

YT Addict | I've had a similar expierence and it is a very scarry thing to go through. I don't have implants but several years ago I got a lump in my breast...it caused shooting pains in my breast. The pain would be so bad sometimes that I would double over and hold myself. I had to go through surgery to have it removed but luckily it ended up being a benign tumor. I had a grandmother that died from breast cancer so it had me terrified. I hope yours turns out to be nothing major. Please keep us posted. I wish you luck as you go through your test. |

| I've had 3 lumps removed over the last 15 years or so. All of them have been benign. I've got alot of breast cancer in my family as well. Mom passed away when I was 18 and I was left to raise my younger siblings. When my baby sister was only 22 she also got breast cancer and she fought for 10 years before passing away 3 years ago. My aunt - mom's sister had breast and ovarian cancer and my great aunt died from breast cancer. I know the fear you are feeling. I HATE cancer. But hopefully you're results will be the same as mine and it will be benign. Hugs! Theresa |

| You guys are wonderful. I am sitting her crying as I read your stories. I have two sons, 14 and 10. My oldest has autism, asperger's syndrome. I can't imagine having to leave them. I don't want to say that's what I have, because I have no clue what it is. I am just so scared. My wonderful 2nd husband, the kids step-dad, has been researching this for me. He even tries to joke to make me feel better. I can't imagine having to leave him either. The worst part is that I have actually said that I would like to quit being a mom sometimes. Now I feel so guilty. I just get run down and so tired that I don't want to deal with anything anymore. Please pray for me, and I will let you guys know what the doctor says tomorrow. I am sure that he's going to want to do more tests, but in the mean time, I will definitely keep my "new" friends updated. Please forgive the rambling.

| I just feel like a terrible person for even having those feelings. I wonder if this is a slap of reality in the face to wake me up so that I don't feel that way anymore. BTW, thanks for all the wonderful support.

| Hey there - I think ALL Moms feel that way at some point - we just don't act on it. I'm a 5 yr breast cancer survivor. I never felt any pain or any lump. The gal that always did my mammogram found a dot the size of a pea in one film. She told me about it but I kinda spaced it off. The next year she found it again and had a fit until I went and had a biopsy. (bless her heart) Anyway, PLEASE don't worry until you know. You'll only stress yourself out unnecessarily. I'm happy you're getting it checked out right away... and IF you do find out that it is cancer - PLEASE stay positive. It really does make a difference. More than likely it's not cancer, and if it is and you caught it early - I know you'll be ok. Sounds like you have alot of support at home - and you know you'll have a TON of it here. You'll be in my prayers. Connie & Kids

YT 500 Club Member | I am a ten year breast cancer survivor, and I did not feel a lump or have pain either. Mine was also found on the mammogram. I cannot know how you are feeling right now, but I do understand the fear involved in the unknown. Please keep us updated, and I will hope for the best and that you are healthy.

| we are here for you Lisa, Please try to stay positive - attitude is everything. I work in a surgeons office and my doctors do probably 8-10 breast biopsies a week. I think our percent of negative results are around 97% and I live in a state with very high cancer rates. Breast cancer can be caught so early these days that it could literaly take years before a lump is even felt. It is possible that you could have a fibroadenoma or even cyst. Most people don't realize that breast pain is rarely associated with cancer. Try to relax the best that you can and don't jump to far ahead of yourself. It sounds like you have a family that is counting on you and a group of supporters here that will let you rant, scream, cry, and even b@tch if you want.

| I wanted to wish you well and I am thinking about you. I wanted to add my mother had breast implants and she recently found a lump in her breast but found out it's the actual implant. I'm not exactly sure what but something in there popped! Yikes! Maybe that's the case with yours.
