| Sinus headache Today is day two, maybe three, hard to say lol, of an awful sinus headache. The pain is dull and achy, between my eyes, under my eyes(cheeks) and just a bit in my upper forehead. I do not have a cold, however when i do get colds, i usually get a sinus infection. Advil is kinda taking the edge off by not really. Anyone know what I can do to get rid of this? I was wondering if it had anything to do with the dry air that has seemed to suddenly arrive. My hair is SO static filled, as are my clothes and my skin is really dry. I have put a humidifier in my room at night for the dry air. Thanks YT friends. |

| Sorry your sinuses are acting up ...I have just recently tried what they call the "Netipot" which rinses out/cleans your sinuses....It has seemed to help me with my allergies, asthma, and just general breathing....just do a google search and you will get loads of info on it....

| I am sorry you are feeling bad. I feel your pain. I woke up sick myself. Bad headache. Been diagnosed with migraines. Began about 3 am and even with meds i stayed in bed till 4 pm. When my sinuses are giving me trouble I find a hot shower helps a lot. LOL That seems to help me with a lot of things.

| The dry air certainly is not helping it. Start boiling water. You should get a humidistat so you can keep your air in the comfort zone. A hot steamy shower and hot cloths on your face. My Dr said they no longer like to give antibiotics for sinus infections, unless it last along time. They like yiou to fight it on your own. |

| Thanks guys. it is not a sinus infection- as far as I can tell- i've had my fair share of those and i don't like taking antibiotics for it because antiobiotics mess with my heart- I've heard SO much about this netti pot, i think i might have to get one! |

| I've heard of the netipot also but haven't tried it yet. I can usually stop a sinus headache pretty quickly with Aleve D Sinus medicine. Have you tried that one?

| I want to remind people to be careful taking sinus medication. I posted a thread on here earlier about the seizures I had after taking clarinex. I had used other sinus medications before with out any probs. I am still healing the bone in my back that broke because of it. So just be careful taking anything new. Read the possible side effects and decide whether or not to risk taking it.
