| Honeymoon Hi all! Has anyone been to Tahiti, Bora Bora, or Moorea on vacation?? I am newly engaged and my fiance and I are trying to decide on where to go for our honeymoon and we are pretty set on Bora Bora because we love the water bungalows. SOO...basically I am looking for any comments on the islands if anyone has been. Also, any suggestions on other places that are good for a honeymoon. I really don't want to do a cruise because there are just so many people around all the time. I appreciate any responses/suggestions Thanks!

| Hey, woohoo honeymoon time! LOVE IT! For our honeymoon we went to Costa Rica! I would recommend this to anyone, HANDS DOWN. If you wanted to be treated like a king and a queen, you must go here! lol We stayed at 2 different places while in CR. We split up our trip in 2 sections. The first part was at the Tabacon Grand Spa Thermal Resort where there are natural hot/cool springs smack dab in the middle of the rain forest and at the base of a volcano (Tabacón Grand Spa Thermal Resort, Arenal, Costa Rica). Absolutely fabulous! The 2nd part of the trip was on a different side of the country so we flew again, mid trip. This time we went to the Manuel Antonio National Park area and stayed at Hotel Parador (Hotel Parador Resort & Spa - Manuel Antonio Costa Rica Hotel, Costa Rica Hotels, Quepos Hotels). The great thing about our honeymoon is that my DH planned EVERYTHING. We had pre-planned activities every day and I may be biased but I think he planned a pretty darned good honeymoon! And just so you know, the pictures just do not give these places justice. The pictures are beautiful but actually being there.... is breathtaking! Have fun choosing your honeymoon spot!

| My cousin went to Bora Bora for hers and she did love it I'd suggest St Barts, not quite as far in terms of distance to travel. We go almost every year for vacation and it is a very special, private and wonderful island Good luck with your planning, and congratulations on your upcoming wedding! |

| Thank you both! My fiance wants to plan the whole thing (which is great!) but we both wanted to decide on where to go. I will look into Costa Rica and St. Barts. Thanks!

| oohh fun!! When I was engaged and planning the honeymoon, we were going to do one of those water bungalows in Papeettee (sp?) Tahiti for a week too! We live in New England and it's a 16 hour flight though (we flew to Hawaii once and it was 13 hours, way too long on a plane) so we were going to stop over in Napa Valley CA for a few days before going out to Tahiti. Im sure anyone of those islands will be GREAT!
