I just took a supper break :) And she just ran into the woods as the games have just begun. Can't WAIT to get into the good stuff!

Wooohooo I can't wait to see how you like it... and the great thing is, you don't have to wait for the 2nd book... waiting stinks. ;)

I picked up Dreamcatcher today. I am excited to be starting that this week. :)

I got really frustrated reading it because there would be something going on that I figured was important, and it wasn't explained well and just glossed over. But as I kept reading, I found out that those details really weren't that important and I think they were kept vague for a reason.

I am picking up the first "Uglies" book on the way home tomorrow, BTW. :)

Just finished- loved the book but not crazy about how it ended- i thought it would leave me dying to read book 2- but it didn't- maybe i'm missing something...?

Glad you loved it. Not really a cliffhanger ending...just a taste of what's to come. Let's just say their problems are just beginning.

How insane were the games though!?

umm... INSANE!!!! esp when those wolves-things came- so crazy.

OK- see did not know things were only going to get worse- i kinda thought there was this odd tension going on- like no one is truly happy with them- so glad to hear things get good again!

I hope to start DreamCatcher by the end of the weekend... my house is a wreck and I have got to get it in order... I still have my Christmas decorations up! :eek: lol

Woo-hoo! I always feel so accomplished when people read something I suggest and like it. :D I think I took 3 days to finish it...but only because I MADE myself put it down and do other stuff. :rolleyes:

BTW, bought the "Uglies" series on Friday that Robin suggested. Finished the first one last night and am starting the second today. LOVING them! Great suggestion Robin...thanks! :thumbup:

Not immediately after, but close enough. And it catches you up on what's happened in between. A couple months pass between the two...

OH.MY.GOD. reading Catching Fire- and I did NOT see this HUGE event happening- man- i so so so did not see this coming- I am BESIDE myself right now- I feel like i need to just open the back of the book and make sure all ends well- BUT i won't... but just one more time- OHMY GOD!

I know, right!? :p I remember reading that one, specific line and being totally blindsided. I was actually sitting in the living room and said out loud "Oh ****" and my husband looked at me like I was nuts. :rolleyes:

BTW, am about to start the last book in the "Uglies" series that Robin suggested. SO GOOD! I second the recommendation.

how sad is this- it was too overwhelming for me- lol.. i had to put it down and take a break... i SO did not see this coming!

Don't feel bad. I got so mad half way through Breaking Dawn that I cried, refused to read it the rest of the night, pulled a "Joey" and put it in the freezer.

No no...not THESE (Hunger Games) books... No promises on the 3rd one though...it's not out yet.

The 3rd one is due out in Aug. I heard it was going to be titled "The Victors." I've also heard it's going to be called "Mockingjay." So I guess we'll see.

I'm almost finished Catching Fire. OMG!!! WHAT? NOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Not fair! :( :( :(

I'll probably finish it tonight. Last night I didn't make dinner; didn't eat; taped Idol so I didn't have to "waste time" watching it and read until I couldn't hold the baby blues open any longer. But I AM NOT HAPPY! Love Peeta though.

I just recently read the Hunger Games and loved it. I am going to pick up Catching Fire but am a little weary of reading it. I hope it has a good ending.

I have been looking for a good book. I had a few going when this thread started so I didn't get it. However, I have just ordered all three books!:D However, the third, Mockingjay will not be shipped until it is released August 24th.

I can't wait to get them!! I haven't read the entire thread b/c I was afraid there would be spoilers. Thanks Bama for the recommendation. ;)
