OMG!! Megan I think that was his father!!! FOR SURE! Was your DH really freaked out about it?? Here is my exp My Dad passed away in 02. I was really really close to my Dad, closer to him than my Mom. We would hang out all the time!! Anyways of course after he passed I went thru really hard times, I was depressed..to even thinking that he wasnt really gone, to not eating, then parting a lot!! Soo many different emotions. I was having a hard time more than my Mom and my Brother. About 6 months later, (I was still living at my parents and so was my brother.) I was sleeping.. all of a sudden I just woke up, I looked to the side of me and I saw my Dad!! He was clear as day too!! Like you always see those "ghost stories" of the spritis and things and thats not what they look like lol!! His body was there but it was really foggy and white, and his face, I saw his face, his eyes, mouth, but it was like kinda when you are looking underwater..like that but white and foggy as well.. I thought to myself am I sleeping?? So I pinched my self! And I felt it!! Then I even sat up and I just sat there I had no idea what to say or what to do for that matter.. I said " Dad is that you" he didn't answer.....I said " Dad why did you leave me, I miss you so much" he didn't answer.. Then he came closer to me and put his hand on my face and said " I love you, everything will be ok" and that was it...then he left and the CRAZY thing is I saw him go into my brothers room!!! I need to go back a little.. When he touched me it felt so good, as soon as he touch me I felt warm and peaceful. His touch brought this calming sensation over me. (When he was alive he would always touch my face and tell me he loved me so I think thats why he did that) When he talked to me, its not like I saw his mouth moving..it was like he was thinking it and I heard him or something.. I dont know I dont even know how to explain it lol Then the next morning I asked my brother "did you dream about dad last night" and he said no and looked at me like I was a nut job lol I told my mom like a couple months later... and she said that I was very lucky to have exp that, she said that he knew I needed it and thats why he did it Well thats my story.. |

You know what else I don't even go to his grave! I can't I went one time with my dh and it was sooo hard for me, it took me about an hour to walk up to his grave site. I know that he doesn't mind me not going bc I know that he sees how hard it is for me... My Mom will go and clean up his area..clean his tombstone, put flowers, and sit there for like 3 hours! I just cant. Its really mind boggling for me.. All I think is he is under me in the dirt!! Laying there...thats all I think and I dont want to think of him like that.. So I know what you are going thru!! I can go on and on lol.. Just know if you ever need to vent or ramble or even tell me stories about your Dad I am hear!! Its eaiser to listen when the person you are telling has delt with it :D |
"Its eaiser to listen when the person you are telling has delt with it." That is so true I lost my mom when I was young and had a couple of experiences soon after. I think the first one was her saying goodbye since she never had the chance before death. The second I think was just a dream that was very real. My dad and I grew very distant after her death due to his re-marrying right away and his new wife didn't want me in the picture. So when he died I don't remember anything happening at all even though I was many years older. |

That dream was one of a kind. It was soon after her passing I never had one before or since like that. The other thing that happened was not a dream but no doubt my mom. |

i had one of those dreams. i prayed to see my cousin again because i really missed him a lot and never got to say goodbye. the only thing i really remember now is that i distinctly saw his face and he was sitting in a red booth at a table and we talked a little and i hugged him (more like i felt a hug than saw myself doing so) i think we danced a little or something. i just will not forget his face in that dream at that table. i had two of those dreams but i can't remember anything else |
I love this stuff soo much..I am a chicken though..I too believe my house has a ghost...The woman who used to live here died unexpectedly, so I think she may still be hanging around..I frequently smell perfume in my house..I do not wear any...I woke up the other morning to footsteps in my attic..I just laid there listening while my eyes were the size of quarters then when I got up, they stopped..Electronic toys will go off in the middle of the night..I have experienced one other thing that actually really really bothered me..My husband and oldest son were outside at the neighbors..I heard it start to rain then I heard my son's voice yell for mommy..So I got up thinking that since it was raining they were coming in and at the backdoor..I went to back door and no one was there. I saw both of them in our neighbor's barn. It actually pissed me off!!! I do not want anyone messing with my children or acting like them!!! Most of the time when something happens..I forget about it..I have family members who have passes away and hope that it is them just checking on my family...but the last story is always with me... |

I will never forget when my mother died at 3:10am, we all walked outside the hospital and the birds chirping like crazy. Lots of them. For the next 7 days we would find baby birds in our house everyday. My mother loved her wild birds and would make sure they had food at all times. She also came to me in one dream and we where all in Mass and she grabbed my hand and told me she was so happy, I woke up in my bed sitting up and crying at 03:10 am. |

Ok..my experience happened during the first month or so after I adopted my dog, Max. I work the nightshift as an RN so I typically sleep during the day. Because of this, I used to wear earplugs to drown out daytime noise. Anyhow, once I got Max, I stopped wearing the earplugs so that I could hear if he needed to go out, etc. It started with me hearing movement around the room when I was trying to fall asleep. I would get up to see if it was Max, but he'd be sleeping in his bed. Another time, I felt bed move right next to me as if someone sat down. I thought it was Max laying next to me, but when I looked again, he was laying in his bed. On other occasions, Max would look up at the center of the room and start sniffing around. The weird thing is, even though I suspected some sort of "ghost" activity, I wasn't freaked out. I was thinking that since I adopted Max and don't know his history, maybe it was his previous owner making sure he was ok? Who knows...but it stopped happening. |
I didn't know you could write to her and if you did that she'd respond. |

They say that if you are open to a visit from a loved one they will come to you. It is very comforting when it did happen to me. I never felt fear just love. :( I believe!!! :) |

My mother has never come back and its been 30 years. I think I finally let her go. Yes the touch of a diseased love one is so real and calming. Very hard to describe. You have to open up and let them in. They will come to you. We should only fear the living.. |
I honeslty think just because we don't have those exp..doesn't mean that they aren't around us. At least I hope that. |
