| does any one 'work at home'? i am trying to find a work at home job...preferably a job where i wouldn't have to make phone calls...i have a speech disability and this is making it even more difficult for me to find a job. i do have a bachelor's degree and one year of graduate school so i am wondering if there are any good ones out there...not looking to make big bucks just something to keep me alive

Thor's Human Donating Member | I work from home a lot. I am a computer programmer, and with all the communication technologies out there, it doesn't matter so much where I am. I'm working with teams in New York, Seattle, and various parts of SF right now. In my profession, working from home tends to be a perk you get if you can prove yourself beforehand. I THINK that it would be illegal for a company not to hire you because of a speech impediment, assuming that it wouldn't harm your job performance. As you said, cold calling may not be in your future. What other jobs have you held in the past?

| If you are qualified to be a teacher - you may be able to work for Sylvan. They use tutors and you can work from home and online
