Traveling mainly for the food! Ayone else ? I am a HUGE travel buff and an even bigger food junkie :D I plan our travels around food reviews from places like Chowhound and Foodies :p I love to eat the food then go to the local grocery store and by different local ingredients to "recreate" the food memory for years to come at home! Anyone else travel this way or am I just a weirdo;p LOL Lisa |
I think it sounds ideal! I don't plan travel around food but I do try to eat more locally when I go places to try something from the local area and something new. I like your idea of travelling though! I love food! :) |
I watch Triple D & Bobby Flay's Throwdown. I write down all of the resturants that they go to. Most are NOT in Fl. Boohoo. Help me find some near Sat Bch....Sugarmamma...have you been to Taco City, Lou's Blues (love their groupie fingers) or Conch Key Grill? |
I always try and eat a the places I see everyone going to on the Food Network when I'm on vacation, I love that! Seattle is great because they always feature lots of neat places and my Brother lives there, so I go there more often! I love food, but I don't cook! :D |

Have you been to Little Philly's? How about Nippon Thai? I'll think of more but I have a phone ringing  |
This post is making me DROOL!! :p I want to travel with you! |
I plan EVERYDAY around my meals. That's how I get through life. |
My mom use to take us to Ensenada just for the food if that counts. Sometimes we would drive there, eat and head home!! It was fun... I think it took us about 6 hours or so to get there but it was worth it. :) |
SugarMomma..I have seen both of those on A1A..they loos like "sub"dives....but with your endorsement...we'll try them! |
Sounds like we should have a traveling food group with Yorkies lol |
Come to Satellite Beach..we can show you nature, space & FOOD! |
There are a few exceptionally good places we've been that we will go go out of our way to dine at. Another good one is Guy's "Diner, Drivins and Dives" on Food Network Channel that has some awesome sounding home cooking. Oh....I'm getting hungry!!!!! |

Besides chowhound, have you ever given eGullet a shot? :) |
Sugarmomma and luvfla, I used to live on Lynn Ave in Satellite Bch. Is Peg legs still on the corner of A1A just down from the High School? We used to walk there for dinner, best Lobster. You both need to come to Sonoma County CA (wine county USA) we have some of the best places to eat. 5 Star or Dive and Guy from Diners Drive in and Dives lives here and his restaurants aren't too bad. |
They tore PegLegs down...it's an empty lot now. |

Sounds like fun to me:D I don't get to travel much, but whenever I do I seek out the local "cuisine". The best so far was this tiny little family type restaurant in South Carolina, they had THE best fried chicken ever! Wish I could remember where it was, because the next year I was passing through, dreaming of that chicken, and I couldn't find it:( |
