Finding a good breeder is hard work. We all know puppy mills are bad and nobody wants a dog from people like that. But its hard to say all byb are bad and all reputable breeders are good. I don't hate all byb their are plenty that do it for the wrong reason. But not all are bad. Who says they cant breed their dog. If their dogs are health been tested for health problems and a good representation of the breed. And they know the risks and responsibility of breeding their dogs. i think those byb are great their puppies usually get more socialization and are more cared for than a breeder than has over 20 dogs not saying they cant but its impossible for you to show 20 dogs the same amount of attention as 2-6 dogs. but i think ist better than a breeder to be honest. Just my opinion. I myself am not able to have kids due to endometriosis. And i know the responsibility of breeding dogs and i am a very smart caring person my boyfriend is a doctor that deals with human births so. if my dogs are healthy which they all have been tested i might in to future breed my dogs. Why would people hate me just because i am not a breeder breeder or show my dogs. is it wrong i want to bring a baby in this world if its mine or one of my dogs. And reputable breeders are not all always good. Just because they show their dogs doesn't mean they are way better breeders than others that don't. Are dogs are pets first and foremost. and when we get on the breeding subject it is seem to be lost. Every breeder thinks they are better than another and fights start over" the breeder topic." we jump to conclusions not everyone is bad their are bad people out there that do bad things to dogs but majority of people love their animals and want to do whats right and better a breed but nobody will find perfection. we are not perfect and nether will are animals be. All reputable breeders started from somewhere. with one dog or two and worked their way up. i guess back in the day they were considered byb. I love yorkies and i might find myself one day saying i want to breed yorkies and maybe show them. I probably will be criticized just like barb was. and its understandable because we hear horror stories about all types of breeders and homeless dogs. But we need to not judge someone so fast. i didn't i gave her the benefit of the doubt and now i have the best baby ever. and i know if i ever have a problem with her she will be there that's a good breeder to me. |

To the OP I am glad it worked out for you and I hope you have many years of happiness with your new baby. :D |
congrats on your new puppy! I am glad you went and checked her out for youself and are happy with what you saw. We can always prejudge someone (which I know is bad) but until we see it first hand we really know nothing. Again, congrats and I cant wait to see pics. |
Congratulations on getting your new furbaby. Maltese are so beautiful and sweet. I can't wait to see pictures of your dog. :) |

there is a wealth of information and good for Yorkie owners also. Unless a vet recommends do not use any tear stain product with an antibiotic. |

Angel Eyes is an antibiotic called Tylan and should not be given to puppies. It can damage and disfigure her adult teeth. You can use it after her adult teeth have come in if she doesn't outgrow the tear stains. Please weigh the pros and cons, though. As with any antibiotic, there is a danger of antibiotic resistance. Thriller ... Its Magic Maltese is also a show breeder, but on a much smaller scale. None of them use the term "teacup". It looks like somehow it comes up in the Google link with Chrisman, but not on their website. I am not familiar with Silverbrook. |

Congratulations on your new baby! I'm glad that you didn't miss out on getting this pup. I've read this entire thread, and must say to some posters, that I'm a little discouraged that this thread turned in the direction that it did. Come on guys...it doesn't have to be like this. |
