| Natural trick to get rid of flies/flying insects! Get you some cheese cloth, and cut into smaller squares. You are going to make small sachets. Fill the suqares with Basil, then tie them to a string and hang on your celing. If you want to intensify the effect-add catnip with the basil-but not if you have cats! It will drive them nuts! Flies, etc. hate the smell of basil and will not come around it!

| Water Ok I'm not sure about the cheese cloth thing , haven't tried it but I do know about this one. Take a plastic ziplock sandwich bag fill it about half full of water and hang it above the doors with the bag hanging down from the door frame . Open the door and stand back and watch what happens. You won't believe it. I picked up this trick from a little pizza place in Seaside Oregon. I use a staple gun to hang the bag. Try it out and tell me what you think. |

| Any tips for repelling flies at BBQs? Does citronella work for flies?

| Okay, I really want to know why the sandwhich bag trick works.... so I googled it! Repel Flies with a Bag of Water - Annoyances - Lifehacker HowStuffWorks "Flies and Water Bags" The flies, being so skiddish, see the light refractions from the water (probably helped out by the bag) and get scared at the slightest movement from any distance. Might want to make sure to close the bag up, or else you'll get a mosquito problem....
