| It is a garden spider and they are great to have around. I had one build a web at the end of my porch. There was a little hole above it where red wasps were flying in and out. Everyday, a wasp or two would get tangled up in its web and the spider would run over and wrap him and start draining the wasps body fluids. Had little dehydrated wasps all over my porch. My ex BF would catch grasshoppers and throw them in the web.
