| semi trucks semi trucks scare the hell out of me... they are big, and the blind spot is HUGE, and i have been run off the ROAD more times than i care to count. sorry, but this morning when i was going to work i got on the freeway and a semi truck RAN ME OFF THE ROAD and into teh EMERGENCY LANE. and before anyone goes and tells me i was in a blind spot that is not the case, i was side by side with his CAB , my lane was supposed to merge and i stepped on the gas, but i guess he wasnt feeling charitable because he SPED UP... so... i ran out of lane and had to slow downa dn drive in the emergency lane until he passed me, some people just piss me off with how inconsiderate and HARMFUL they could potentially be to someone. What is there was a brokedown car in the e lane? what if there was debree there? i would have shredded my tires to bits (thankfully it was just cleaned recently so there wasnt much debri, but still) |

| I have to reply to this as I drove over the road a 40 foot dump bucket with my husband. Now if you are on the passenger side of a semi You Are In A Blind side area. They have those little window at the bottom of the doors that don't mean crap, you still can not see a car down there. But If You Are on the Drivers side of the semi- he was just being CRAZY and should be reported. My companies have on the back of trailers numbers to report the drivers and they should be..... Sorry for your experience today, but I can tell you after many hours behind the wheel in all parts of the country with thousands of miles on this tussy of mine. And I have seen bad drivers all types of vehicles.... I personally think everyone thinks they are the only ones on the road and don't care anymore.

| There are blind spots on the drivers side near the cab also. You have to remember it takes longer and its harder for them to slow down. I'm sorry you had a bad morning. Also remember that if you see a truck driver driving in a considerate way to also call their companies and let them know. Most of the time they only hear about the bad drivers. |

| I can relate some truckers are very scary on the roads, they forget that it is more than just a job to get done and there are peoples lives at stake. My husband used to own a trucking company and it is also amazing at the crazy things drivers do around big trucks, such as stop in front of them suddenly it takes A LOT longer for them to stop, like three or four times times their length. My husband once has a school bus pass him on a highway and then stop dead 20 feet ahead with lights flashing he had to slam on his brakes and ruin almost $6000 worth of new tires because of the idoit bus driver risking the children's lives. As a professional driver she should of known better. It is scary out there. |

| Oh while we are on the topic of truck drivers. At least once a week I get honked at by one. And yeah at first you think its flattering but no because first off I personally have never looked twice at anyone who has whistled hollered or honked at me, I think its pretty rude. And second it never fails I always think that they are honking because something is wrong with my car, so I freak out. I've even stopped before and checked all around my car just to make sure. I really just wish they'd get over it. A few months ago I had one that rode beside me and sped up when I did and slowed down when I did, it really started to scare me. Finally I flipped the guy off. Oh and I really don't think I'm anything great to look at so its not that at all, they are just pervs(well some of them are).

| My mom and I were going to visit my sister when she was living in Staten Island. It was dark and rainy. The speed limit was 65 and I was doing at least 75 in heavy traffic in the passing lane. Some a-hole in a truck had been following me forever and would pass me, pull in front of me and slow down. I finally got sick of him and just stayed in the passing lane. He got behind me and was honking his horn for me to go faster (mind you, it's quite difficult to go faster when there is a car 5 feet from my front bumper and a car 5 feet to the side of me with him behind me!) He started flicking his high beams on and off and then just kept them on and was riding right on my @ss. I was so scared! When I finally could get over into the right lane, my mom was ready to take down his license plate and he took the exit we were about to pass. He could have killed me, my mom, and the people in the cars around me. That entire weekend I was so mad that we couldn't get his license plate down- I would have called the police and the company for which he works- what a jerk. |
