| Invisalign Does any one on here have invisalign? I had braces in high school, but my teeth have shifted quite a bit. Is it worth the $$? I do not want to wear regular braces AGAIN! Suggestions? |

| I have thought about getting them, but they are $2000 just for the top, and another $2000 for the bottom. I dont know if I am willing to spend that much.

| They Are THE Best Things EVER!!! Me, me, me... I'm currently at the half way point. And, IMO they are the best invention ever!!! They are almost totally invisible when wearing them. And, the biggest plus is that they are removable so I can still eat what ever I want. There is no inner mouth discomforts like the metals because I simple nail file will take care of any rough edges rather than the old way of applying wax. Yes, they are a bit more expensive than traditionals. But, other than that, I can't think of any reason why anyone wouldn't use these. My daughter, which has been wearing the metals for years to correct her bite until her wisdom teeth come through, likes mine so much that we are opting for invisaline teen for her up and coming second set. I'd say... If you have the extra funds available, GO FOR IT!!! |

| So... $4,000 for top and bottom? I was quoted $5,000 for my son with the standard braces. Maybe we should look into invisalign.

| The price varies from dentist to dentist. But, $4,000 appears to be the general ball park. Mine was $4,800 for both uppers and lowers. And, my insurance paid about a third of that even as an adult. The price for my daughter will be even less because my insurance pays out more for minors age 19 or younger. |

| My husband had them two years ago and loved them. They were barely more than conventional braces, but being a middle-aged business man he didn't want to look ridiculous in standard braces!! Also, for those of you with the experience of standard braces, there are not perpetual mouth'lip sores from the braces and you take off the invisaligns for brushing/flossing teeth. Also, no yellow residue is left on your teeth after the braces/glue come off!!!

| I have a friend who recently had them to correct the shift in her teeth from high school when she wore traditional braces. She is happy with the results!

| I've had Invisalign for two years & am almost done. My bottoms were always straight but my top two teeth had a gap. I think they're more time consuming so in my case, it took longer to straighten than regular braces, just because they push one by one etc. When I first got them, they were PAINFUL lol. I couldn't even stand it. But after the first month, they're not as bad at all. All in all, I've had a good experience with Invisalign and they worked... my teeth are incredibly straighter than when I started. They should have been off my teeth months ago but unfortunately, money is tight so I've been procrastinating going in there. Oh and Jackson decided to EAT my last aligner... ahh! But, Invisalign works if you wear them properly! I think 18 hours a day is what they are supposed to be on for (at least for me) and my problem is.. I've been slacking. The past 6 months, I'm just so done with them and ready to be off so I definitely don't wear them like I should lol. Gotta have self control since you can take them out whenever you want haha. I want to say they were $6000.

Senior Yorkie Talker | I got the Invisalign a few years ago and was very happy with the results. But, you can't stop wearing them ever. Because your teeth never stop shifting, you continue to wear them to bed every night. I admit that once in a while I forget or just choose not to but then back in they go the next night. I fogot them on vacation once and I was surprised how much my teeth shifted in a week. And not all insurances will cover them. My didn't pay a dime and it was over $5K. |

| Insurance speaking.... Check with your insurance to make sure they are covered, most do not bc its considered cosmetic Depending on your plan, if your provider innetwork then make sure you have them check and double check their fees. Normally you will pay their contracted rate for braces then a flat rate for the invisalign (ie 2000) I would make sure you get a couple of opinions to make sure invisalign is right for you. It does not work for everyone regardless of how minor the tooth movement. If you can find someone in your area that specializes in it, even better.
