| Vet techs? I've been exploring all my career options... vet tech has always been one of them just because of my passion for animals, more so dogs, but animals in general. Anyone here a Vet Tech? What are the typical hours? How much is schooling typically to become a vet tech? Any other info is greatly appreciated. Is it rewarding? I know it's not going to be "easy" but I feel pretty confident around even unstable animals. I also know the pay is known to not be that good but have read it all really depends on who you work for and what you ask for... I also design websites on the side so could always make side money doing that. I would love to be a dog trainer as well but I'd love to be able to be certified in something. I'm currently in the community college and am 19 years old.

| My daughter was a vet tec. She was able to do on the job training while taking college classes. It only paid a little over min. wage. So she had to give it up. Good luck
