| By our front door- there are A LOT Of ants- I can see where they have holes that they come up- and I believe they are carpenter ants as there are always piles of "dust" by their holes. I'd say there are at least 5-6 small holes around our doorway- anyone know ANY way to get rid of these things? We have boric acid that my dad tried to put down there- it worked last year- well not well enough as they are back this year..... |

| Terro ant bait is the best thing I have ever used, it worked for me with the little ants and they have never come back. It is sort of freaky to use because you have to avoid killing the ants when you see them.. and you WILL see them with this stuff. I couldn't believe my eyes. I put the baits out, watched them for a couple min and walked away. About 1/2hr later I checked them and each bait was filled with ants drinking the stuff and there was a trail of them coming from inside my wall behind the kitchen cabinets YUCK. I couldn't handle being there, seeing them and not doing anything. So I left, I came home about 3 or 4 hrs later and they were all GONE.. totally, not one was seen after that. The stuff worked wonderfully, so I recommend it to anyone that is asking. LOL Ant Problem? Terro = Ant Control Solutions

| It must be a bad year for them as I just had my house sprayed for ants. My next door neighbor had to do this last year. Now the neighbor on the other side of her had to have done this year as well. I was getting them in the kitchen from the back porch area and they were starting to come in the front door area. YUK!

They drink it and take it back to their family. ![]() Whatever you use, you will have to repeat if the holes aren't closed, so they may come back next year. We put it on cardboard pieces out of Ellie's reach.

| Another Terro bait fan. It is gross having to watch a million ants congregate but then... yay, they're all gone! Depending on how bad they are it usually only take 1 or two days.

| As a Floridian, I can tell you that ants are a year round problem here, UGH! Terro is the only thing that's worked for us. Just make sure your pets cannot get to it, as it'll make them really sick! I am not sure it'll work on Carpenter ants. Those suck because they eat your house You might have to resort to a pesticide spray Good luck with this, I know it's frustrating!

| Donating YT 7000 Club Member | Move. ![]() Just kidding. But in our old house, about 3 weeks before we moved, there were suddenly MASSIVE amounts of ants - everywhere!! BIG black ones! they were coming out from behind the crown molding between the wall/ceiling. We'd find HUNDREDS every day and they were mostly in the kitchen, which was just *disgusting*. We used some ant traps that were a pretty good temporary fix - a couple cheap-ish ones from Home Depot. Raid is also a great short-time fix, until you can get in an exterminator or something.
