| Our farm on fire/drought My husband has a 10 acre farm, he buys and sells animals. While he was at lunch I got a call that it was on fire. When we got there 5 fire trucks were putting them out and they had to call for more help. It was a hay trailer and another on that was burning to the ground. Thankfully no animals were hurt. We are in a very dangerous drought situation. Pray that it doesn't start back up, and it was windy today. Thank you Lord.

| At least the animals were spared and that's the important thing. Please be careful. When it's dry "and" windy, then it's time to keep a close eye on things. Fires are common here in CA. but we are a desert state and we only get rain about 3 or 4 months during the winter months, but we are completely dry just a couple days after a heavy rain. Too sandy to hold moisture.

| Donna, that sounds scary. I am glad the fire department was able to put it out and that no animals were hurt. Did they say what caused it? I hope it does not happen again. |

| I am so happy the FD was able to get that fire under control as fast as it did and none of your animals were hurt. I am sure it must be so scary to see a fire on your property. Sending prayer's your way for some much needed rain. I hope you never get that kind of scare again, |

| They are going to investigate it, there have been 5 fires in that neighborhood lately. We don't live there.

Therapy Dog Donating Member | Ahhh..either way Donna that is a scary thing to happen. When I see these devasting fires on the news it's so sad and to think that even people set these on purpose. That just blows my mind.

| I don't know if I could take it if the animals were injured. He is an animal lover, horses, cattle, sheep, pigs(wish he didn't now with the swine flu), poultry, rabbits, etc. And his monkey Bobby that was only a few feet away from the fire. I forgot donkeys. Some of them follow him around where ever he goes. Thanks for you thoughts.

| Oh Donna, I am so very sorry. How tragic and how scary. But like you said, at least no livestock were injured. I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers. |

| How scary! I'm glad nobody was hurt and the fire got under control. If someone started that fire, I hope they get caught!
