Oh, did I mention the time during high school when I was enjoying the mattress-on-floor life style (felt almost like camping) and didn't want a real bed. I woke up one morning sleeping my side, to a HUGE spider just ONE inch from my face ON my pillow?! Well, it could have been 2 inches, but heck, it might as well have been ON my face. Who knows if it did crawl across me before I woke up to it. It was thick and black! Thick for my standards. It's no surprise I went shopping with my parents soon afterwards and picked up a loft bed. I wanted to be as far away from the ground as possible. I know, they walk on walls and "climb".

I think bees can be cute. Generally though, I HATE bugs and HATE AND FEAR spiders. Forget about building a loft bed after waking up next to a spider - I would simply never sleep again.

I am pretty sure I could train myself out of the hate and fear if I had to, but I hate them too much to try.

By the way... I don't think snails and slugs are bugs. Not that I'm incredibly fond of them either. At least they move slowly.

Jelly fish, sharks, snakes, rats, bats, I'm fine with all those. Seriously, I would rather have a bat problem in my place than a roach problem.

Which also brings me to.. snug as a bug in rug, now that is makes sense. Ok well it kinda makes sense. Maybe it does because I have only had a few hours sleep that it does but I think it does. I'd say bugs can be really cute while at the same time repulsive....

smelly lady bug impersonators trying to take over your house in the fall.... spiders all looking at you weird... and those dang bees trying to sting you outta existence...

There are some pretty cute bugs.... and boy does Finnigan love to eat them!

I think lady bugs are adorable and even ugly bugs can at least be interesting. I have to share a couple of my bug photos. The first one is interesting even though I have no idea what it is and the second is a bug ghost. Actually it is what is left from a crane fly larvae that I found in my pond.

Did you take those pictures!?! they're amazing! I'm pretty sure that the green thing is a catapillar.

I think catapillars are OK too. When I was young I used to collect them. You know those plastic containers that had pretzel sticks in them? I would poke holes in the top and keep catapillars in those. One time I brought them to my grandma's house and she about died of a heart attack right on the spot.
