| Help Reunite a Pet with His New Orlean's Displaced Owner I need help with some brainstorming!! Need to figure out the best way to reunit this person with her cat. It's a long story and the best way is just to copy and paste the 2 email she posted. Please help me think of some ideas for her. Thanks!! ********** I know this is a really odd question but here goes. Blue is a Russian Blue Cat..STOP BARKING AT THE CAT. Blue's Mom was an MD working on a residency in a hospitals in New Orleans. Her name is Chris. When her folks evacuated before the storm, they were good enough to take Blue with them while their daughter remained behind at the hospital. Needless to say, Chris dealt with all those impossible situations that you have heard about and wasn't evacuated until Friday. She is in Salt Lake City, Utah with her fiancee trying to recover from the horrid experience. Meanwhile, her parents came here (Montgomery, AL) with Blue as they have family here who happen to be team members of mine. All Chris wants right now is her cat. It is too hot for Blue to fly cargo (an idea I wasn't in favor of anyway) and Chris will have to come get him. But frankly she is too drained for such a trip at present. Question. Are there cat folks that do relay transport like us doggie folks do? Does anybody know anyone who does cat rescue? If so please email me privately to see if it's possible to work out transport so we can reunite Blue with his Mom who really, really, really needs and misses him. Thanks Julia Markham ****** Erin of Two Lane Highway gave me a wonderful link and they have posted about Blue. I have hope. The only thing Chris wants from her New Orleans home is her cat. And when I think how brave this 28 year old woman has been caring as best she could for her patients along with otherstaff, I just tear up. Waiting for help that never came as she watched her patients die because they could not provide all that was needed, has taken as toll on her. With no food and no water...nothing but sick dying patients....they waited for 5 days. At the least she deserves to have her friend and companion, Blue, by her side while she tries to heal. :0( I would drive him out there myself but I cannot at this time. Julia |

| I was looking on the message board at petfinder and they are organizing a 'pet railroad' to transport pets state by state to owners. |
