| Pregnancy is possible but not probable. You've just really gotten messed up with your pills and it also sounds like maybe your pills are too low dose. You need to call your doctor and tell them exactly what you told us. They will probably have you do another pee test or maybe even a blood test to be sure, then start you on a new regimen.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | its hard to say for certain. You should probably see your doctor. However whenever i wonder if Im preggers i ask myself, if my breasts are sensitive? And are they bigger? I am also on birth control, and i have missed several periods with a little bit of spotting in between. I actually would say you probably arent pregnant because this happens to me all the time. When you miss so many days you start to spot more. Im on Yaz by the way... I also miss my period when my weight changes, or when my diet changes also. If you have had any big changes in your life lately or if you have been stressed this could be the reason you are missing your period...? Who knows though- i would advise you to not forget your Birth control and to see your doctor.

| I would say it's possible, but not very likely. After you missed the pills, did you double up the next day? The light spotting could just be your period being screwy because of all the missed pills. I would say take another test in a couple days (if you are pregnant, it could be that you body hasn't produced enough pregnancy hormone for the test to detect.) If the test is still negative and you haven't gotten a regular period yet, call your OB and remember to take those pills! |

| I don't think it's likely based on your symptoms, but you should be aware that missing even one pill can cause ovulation. Take your pills religiously or they are basically useless. Especially the first few months while your body adjusts.

| I would say the pills are probably messing with your body and your system is out of whack. I've had two miscarriages and it was obvious both times. I think that if you were having a miscarriage this early on, it would appear to just be a regular (maybe more painful or heavy) period.

| Being your only on the 2nd month of taking the pill your body is still adjusting. Lighter periods (just brownish discharge) should be normal. Sometimes hardly anything at all. Missing pills can mess it up even more. You are probably not PG. But perhaps a scare to be sure and not miss your pills! Get a good routine, Brush your teeth, take your pill. And pulling out doesn't stop pregnancy.Just take another test in a few days to be sure. Sorry if I sound mom like but my daughter is 20 and been on several different pills. |

| Also, I believe with stronger pills, the cramping will go away...one more thing to talk to the doc about....

| Ask your doctor for the Nuvaring - you won't have the spotting because it's constant time-release rather than up/down every 24 hours. You also can't forget to take it. A pregnancy test will usually work the day after your period was supposed to start, so if you just tested and it's negative you are probably not pregnant. What you are describing is a typical period on the pill. So stop worrying, get some sleep and call your doctor in the morning to talk about some new options like the Nuvaring. Hope that helps.

| Pill Ladies you have to take your pill at the same time everyday. Set your cell phone to remind you every single day if you have to. The little girl in the cheerleader outfit.......yes she and her brother are 15 months apart. My daughter did not take her pills at the same time everyday. She got pregnant for Alexia when Jonce was 6 months old. We are very thankful and blessed to have Alexia in our lives. Check with your pharmacy.......the birth control pill taken regularly is not 100% full proof. P.S. Try to move this thread to the off topic section

| I thought birth control pills arent 100% until after the third month taking them? course its been quite a few years since I've taken them and things may have changed. I've heard of false negatives, but rarely false positive if done correctly. If pills arent taken correctly-they can cause problems and wacky periods. I'm with everyone else, check with your doctor. In the mean time, treat your body as if it were pregnant and try not to worry. |

| I took the pill for several years. Whenever I would miss a couple in the pack, I would have some strange hormonal stuff. From the sounds of it, you are having what I call 'rebound cramps'. Your body has slightly less of the hormones from the pill and its trying to regulate itself. It takes about 5-6 months for your periods to become completely regular on the pill. What pill is it? I can only take Yasmin because the others I tried would make me skip periods completely, and that wasn't healthy for me.
