| GRAPHIC! News article...another puppy set on fire Yesterday, I saw another thread about a dog that had been set on fire and I could not believe what I was reading. Today I went to the website for my local newspaper to catch up on local events, and one of the articles from last week caught my attention "Man Sentenced for Burning Dog Alive" I was hoping it was the same story and not another poor dog. This was a new story. Another dog that has to submit to the most extreme suffering because of the cruel world we live in today. I have posted the link, and I will keep you guys updated if I hear anything. (My state barely has any laws against animal cruelty. Several petitions have been signed and TONS of people are pushing for the laws, but there still hasn't been anything put into action.) | Absolutely terrible. These things just don't surprise me anymore. Adult men kidnap and rape children all the time, and animals are burnt and tortured as entertainment. Its become a very very sick world anymore. That is why I get pissed when people accuse others of sheltering their children as if it is a bad thing. Children need to be sheltered so they don't become like these disgusting creatures that are destroying the lives of both people and animals. Our children are becoming desensitized anymore because its almost become common for these things to happen. Seems theres just no regard for any life or innocence anymore. Last year there was a black lab local to me that was poisoned with antifreeze and hung from a tree and beaten. He was rescued and he is doing ok now in a new home, but I don't think they guy that did it got much punishment. Sick people.

| And he's going to basically get away with it! A misdemeanor is a slap on the wrist for something like this! The guy needs to be tied to a tree, doused in gasoline, and someone needs to light a match and walk away...like he did! I can't believe he's getting away with it! This is so sad! |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I can't read the article bc I've read too many lately and I'm a little overwhelmed. But, I'm sad to see yet another incident like this - although truly, this happens all the time. I just....ugh....I just can't bear to think of the suffering that happens to innocent creatures. It just makes me feel so helpless.

| That is sick, disgusting, cruel and all kinds of horrendous things I can think of. Makes me sad to live in a world occupied by someone like that boy/monster! I can't imagine why if someone does not want a pet any longer or cannot take care of it, why they would not just drop it off at the local shelter, at least the pet will have a chance at being adopted out or pts more humanely. (not ideal I know but more humane than that!) This world makes me sick sometimes! Really really sick!
