| Irish Blessings I'm not Irish -- but I know we all have heard Irish Blessings before & I thought it would be fun to share some of them in honor of St. Patrick's Day. I'll start "May you be in heaven a full half hour before the devil knows you're dead." Also, did you know that we have no Irish / St. Patty's smilies the rainbow with no pot of gold was closest I could find!

| Here's one..... May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand. _____________________________________

I love that one! My son-in-law is Irish and I did a counted cross stitch sampler for my daughter's home with that blessing. | |

| May your troubles be less and your blessings be more. And nothing but happiness come through your door. & Always remember to forget the things that made you sad. But never forget to remember the things that made you glad. I love Irish sayings, plus I am Irish!

| A narrow neck keeps the bottle from being emptied in one swig Morning is the time to pity the sober. The way they're feeling then is the best they're going to feel all day The devil invented Scotch whiskey to make the Irish poor There is no point to keeping a dog if you are going to do your own barking

| A sunbeam to warm you, A moonbeam to charm you, A sheltering angel, so nothing can harm you. ~ Irish Blessing

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | I'm Irish. I love St. Patrick's Day and Irish Blessings are my fave. May your glass be ever full. May the roof over your head be always strong. And may you be in heaven half an hour Before the devil knows you're dead. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ May you live as long as you want, And never want as long as you live. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ May your dreams come true, your prayers be answered. ~~~~~~ My personal favorite: May there always be work for your hands to do. May your pocket hold always a coin or two. May the sun always shine on your windowpane. May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain. May the hand of a friend always be near you, May God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you. and for laughs May those who love us, love us. And those that don't love us, May God turn their hearts. And if He doesn't turn their hearts, May he turn their ankles. So we'll know them by their limping. Happy St. Patrick's Day, all! May the luck of the Irish be upon you.

I had never heard of this one before. I love learning new Irish wishes. May the Luck of the Irish be with you, always, |
