Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | My Daughter is Coming Home in 4 Hours!!!! ...........hooray!!!! Some of you may remember that my daughter Kristen was married last summer to a military man. The came home last August for the wedding. Her husband Chris is in the Air Force and has been stationed in Anchorage, Alaska for the last 3 years. Kristen has been there with him for the last year and a half...give or take a few months. In just about 4 hours, Kristen will be coming home again......Chris will arrive in about a week, after he finishes up settling things in Alaska. I am very excited to see her, but oh what an uproar we will have in my house until Chris arrives. What will be the cause of the uproar? No, not Kristen, but what Kristen is bringing along with her. She will be accompanied with her 1 year old lab-rotteweiler-chow mix "baby", Guinness. I can just about imagine how crazy (and LOUD) my 3 yorkie babies will be when they see him. I'm a bit paranoid at how this is going to work, but it is just temporary until Chris arrives and Guinness goes to stay at the other gramma's house. I've already told Kristen that we're not going to take any chances with these dogs together.....she swears that Guiness is going to be afraid of my yorkies. We will see. But, Kristen being home will make it all worth while. Unfortunately their stay will only be temporary also; about 5-6 weeks. I hope to spend as much time as I can with her, because after their visit, they will be gone for another 3 years............this time even farther away than Alaska. Come early April, they will be on their way to Misawa, Japan!!! If anyone has ever been there, I'd love to hear about it. I am not a world traveler and have no desire to go that far away, & Kristen tells me that it would be a pretty pricey vacation, so she may not be able to visit either. Thank goodness for webcams & Skype so that we can see each other as we chat! Ya never know, there may even be a little grand-baby born while they're away. Shhhh, don't tell her I said that

Definitely keeping them apart.................but can you tell me how to keep them (mine) quiet??? We haven't had much of it since they arrived...."yawn".....yea, not a very good nights sleep. Halle is the worst...her bark is so shrill and loud. My daughter's dog Guinness hasn't made a peep and seems very sweet............but so big. Even if he is a sweetie, I'm not letting them get to close.

Said it was gorgeous! Start saving your pennies so you can visit your daughter and her hubby, esp if she has a grand baby for you to spoil on!

| Enjoy your visit with your daughter. How will she get that big dog to Japan? I would love to see a picture of him. To bad SophieKate isn't closer, she loves big dog - the bigger the better in her book.

| I am so excited for you. I know no matter how grown up our kids are they are still our babies. My 2 girls age 15 and 13 will be home for 2 months + ( march 29th - June 8 ) school vacation. They are studying abroad in an international boarding school. The hardest decision I ever made, was to let them go 2 years ago. every year they visit for 2 months. God willing end of this year I will visit them. Enjoy your time with your daughter |

| Rose! I'm so happy Kristen is going to have time to be with you before her long journey to Japan....even if it is for a short while. Take plenty of pictures...I guess 3 years worth!!! How are the dogs making out thus far...have you gotten a routine down yet?? Would love to see a picture of the new "baby".
