| I need some opinions on college Okay, long story short. I've been on and off with college due to finances and time and all that. I took 4 classes in the Fall 2006 semester and had almost a 4.0 GPA BUT I wasn't married and I wasn't working full time but I was getting married and moving at the same time. Well flash forward to the spring 2008 semester... decided to go back and I wanted to finish my degree in a hurry so I decided to take 6 classes... yes 6... yes 18 credits while working full time (and then some) and also being a wife. It can be done, but I ended up picking a horrible class schedule and a couple of the classes were so ridiculously hard and I just got so overwhelmed with so much work that I ended up giving up on most of my classes, so now I have to retake them. Now, I am going to go back this summer and it's almost time to start registering. I went through all the classes I need to retake to see if I could find one that meets my schedule and my plan was to just start with ONE class especially since the summer semester is only 12 weeks instead of 16. Well, there was only 2 that met my needs and one was a 2 credit class and the other was a 1 credit class. The 1 credit class is just a one all day class, but I have a project to do and I have a certain day it's due by, so I figure that isn't too bad and I can do that, and the 2 credit class was actually pretty easy, I just got too overwhelmed to complete the class, so I can do that too at the same time with the other one. Now here's the thing... I'm thinking about taking a third class. This is a 3 credit class but it's a 100 level class and I've never taken it, so I don't know about the work load. I don't know whether I should just jump in and try it, or forget about it and just stick with the other two classes. I'm just a little nervous after I over did it that one semester and now I don't know what is too much or not. Any advice from anyone would be great. I do know that I have a plan - these classes I'm thinking about taking are online classes, so I'm going to set aside a certain amount of time each day just to concentrate on my school work and nothing else and Fridays I have the whole house to myself with no one around to bother me, so I could do a lot on Fridays. So maybe it is possible? My hubby said he'd help me too...

| Ash have you taken online classes before?? I took 2 before and they were extremely hard. Only because I had to teach myself out of the book. With that being said I think you should just take the first 2 you wanted to make sure you can handle them online. When you say 1 credit 2 credit do you mean hours?? I'm just confused maybe it works different where you are lol I'm glad your deciding to get your degree I'm finishing mine too. But take it easy and don't rush.. you want to do it right. What's that saying "slow ans steady wins the race??" LOL you know what I mean girl Good Luck!!

| I have taken online classes and I actually prefer them on some occasions. I hate sitting in class and being talked to lol. My friend told me today that I should just go with the 2 classes and then if I can handle it, try 3 classes the next semester. I think I'm going to try it.

| Just stick with the two classes. Summer classes are always a little harder because it's so short. |

| I definitely think your friend gave you great advice. I would definitely start of with two classes first and see how that works out for you. And if you are able to find a good balance in your schedule and don't feel to overwhelmed maybe you could take more classes next semester. I am so glad that you are pursuing your degree and that you have been able to get married too!!! I'm graduating in two months and I hope to get married in a few years once we both get established. I pray that everything works out well for you.

| I was going to ask if you've taken online classes before. I'm currently taking two, and a bunch of people were trying to talk me out of it. Personally, I LOVE IT. No sitting in class with a boring lecture. Anyway, I'd say only take the two classes and see how well you can handle it. Then in the fall, if you take classes, you can add one or two more. Don't overwhelm yourself too much, you don't want that to happen again. Good luck!
