| poor birdie :( So...walking into my apartment I pass a sewer...and I hear a birdie chirping kind of fast. Out of nowhere, we are starting to get snow falling kind of hard...so there is water gushing into this sewer. I get out of my car with my stuff from the weekend (one of my yorkies is recovering from a rather bad bout of pancreatitis this past week, so I spent the weekend at home to be with him) and go by the sewer and hear this noise...at first I think it's just the water rushing in, hitting something...then after a while, I realize it's a little birdie Now, I don't know if it's because I am an overly emotional woman, or what, but it made me sad Poor little thing is scared to death, in this dark hole, with water coming in from all over, and wants someone to help, but can't Poor lil thing Sorry...kind of random I know, but it just makes me sad

| Awwww, you have such a soft heart. I would have felt the same way. Can't stand to see anything scared or suffering. Well, I hate opossums. They have to go if they are on our yard.

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | aww I'm so sorry. I'd be the same way. That kind of thing just gets to me. A couple years ago I walked past the tree in my old neighbor's yard, and I hear this spastic kind of chirping. I look under the tree and there is a little tiny sparrow (perhaps a baby?) laying on the ground - his neck was broken. There was nothing I could do, so I had to leave him there. But I went inside and I could still hear him from inside the house, until eventually it stopped. I've never really gotten over that.

| Aww, I'd be sad, too. One time I went to Wal-Mart with my mom and there are geese that like to hang out at the little pond there. Well, one of them got hit, and I saw it flapping on the road. There was blood everywhere and I felt so helpless... I sat in the parking lot and cried for a few minutes...
