| I'm with Nancy, much of the so called research that get's published on any given subject is nothing more than an opinion generated from a predispositional prejudice. A company will sponsor or underwrite, a study. If it proves their point...it gets published, if not...it gets buried. I personally like caffeine, and I'm willing to bet that without it half of the stuff that gets done....wouldn't.

| Thor's Human Donating Member | I am addicted to caffeine, though not as intensely as Ashley. I guess I'm lucky because I get headaches if I drink too much caffeine and that keeps it in check. Anyway, just wanted to wish you well on your journey. Do you like lattes? You could get one shot of espresso in a large cup and then fill the rest of it with milk. The good news is that caffeine addiction is much easier to beat than most other addictions. Also, I'll bet after you've cut down after just a couple weeks, you'll find that you get a zing! from the caffeine you don't now. I quit drinking caffeinated beverages for three weeks, and at that point if I even had a sip of coffee I would be climbing the walls. Of course, as soon as I started drinking coffee regularly again, I lost the zing. But maybe that's something you can look forward to. If you have anxiety issues and physical withdrawals, then you are taking a great step for your health.
