My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | GPS users? I've been thinking about getting a GPS. I hardly travel at all, but I just have no sense of direction LOL, so I thought it would be good for me , even for just local trips. Like even if I can't find a certain office in my town, things like that. I always have to map quest things. So I was wondering, what are the best ones out there. QVC has one today and it looks really cool. Even has blue tooth so you can talk thru it on your phone. QVC.com What does everyone have??? Is this a good one? |

| We have a Garmin, Nuvi, 205W and we like it alot. My daughter has the Garmin with bluetooth and she uses her phone through it. Sometimes I turn it on even when I know where I'm going cause it tells me when to turn and so I don't get distracted and miss my turn. We use the portable (weighted) mount because we have 3 vehicles and can move it to whichever one we are driving.

| We have a Garmin Nuvi. I wasn't sure what brand to get either, but since I have a MAC computer I wanted one compatible with it, since sometimes you need to download new maps, or cute icons to represent your car on the GPS... and at that time Garmin was the only one compatible with a Mac. |

| my dad is big on his electronics and he said when it comes to a GPS you should spend the extra money for a quality one- he has a Garmin- it's really easy to use and we've had it for a few years- it is really important to plug it into your computer weekly to get updates on new roads/highways. |

| We have a Garmin as well! I love IT! I use it alot around town.. If I want to go the quickest route or sometimes one with the least amount of turns when I have Mitzy with me because she gets car sick. Its fairly easy to work once you get the hang of it. The one with the bluetooth sounds awesome! I would have definatly get one with a bluetooth if they had that out when I got mine!

| I have a Magellan Maestro, when I was looking around for one I compared prices and features. It doesn't have all of the bells and whistles some others might, but it was priced well for what it does have. We are happy with it, we used it to get from CA to TX and back, and I use it for local places too.

| We have a Tom Tom. It was only $100, but it does WAY MOre than I need, so it is sufficient for my use. I know Garmin and Magellan make some with more features. But the Tom Tom has been good for me. I got it for my husband for Christmas, but I keep it in my car |

| I like the Garmin Nuvi also! I borrowed my dad's recently and it was pretty great. I am SO directionally-challenged it's not even funny! I want to get one for my car some day. My husband is an insurance adjustor and is on the road almost all day every day. His company just bought him one last week. I had mentioned it to him before but he didn't think they would because they have gps on their computers BUT one of his bosses was riding along with him last week and they couldn't find an address they needed AND the wireless signal wouldn't pick up so they couldn't look on the computer. So he mentions, hey my father-in-law has this cool Garmin that would be perfect in this situation. The other guy says... let's go get you one right now. I think it took getting his boss ticked off about being lost to admit that my hubby really could benefit from it. I think they spent about $180 but I saw the same one for approx. $135 with free shipping on Amazon.
