My Grandmother's Sweet & Sour Meatballs 1 package pre-made frozen meatballs (I usually use the turkey meatballs, I think they taste good) 1 can jellied cranberries 1 can tomato sauce (not pasta sauce but plain tomato sauce) Pour both cans in to a large pot and heat until the two melt, mix the sauce until they're combined. (You'll see a purpley color as opposed to two separate colors.) Add in meatballs (can still be frozen) and cook in sauce until heated all the way through. (Be careful, when the sauce heats and bubbles it tends to burp all over the place, but it's easy to clean up afterwards!) These are great hot and just as good cold! :D |

I love Superbowl parties. My brother, cousins and I always had one every year. Mud 1 can of Chili no beans Velveeta (Larger package) 1 can of Salsa (Chi- Chi's, Pace, w/e) **Option** Jalapeños, sour cream, or a 1lb of beef Be creative!! Mix all the ingredients in a crock pot and it's ON!! ( Ok, it's more complex than that) Set to "Low" Remember to stir often; serve once cheese is melted. Go Steelers!!! |

I ate SO much of this in TX at Christmas ( puppy chow they call it ) I came home before I started dieting and went a midnight and bought the stuff and came home to make it. I didn't know about the peanut butter recall's. Anyway, I didn't use vanilla or butter and remaved the check from the bag with my hand to help keep the powder sugar from being SO thick. I usually have a superbowl party each year, and have since I was like 12! We're skipping out this year, waiting for the stork to arrive ;) I always used to make Jello Jigglers in the colors of the team we were rooting for-you can add vodka too to make Jello Jigglers shots for the adults. Brownies-but cut out the shape of a football/laces in printer paper and put on top, then dust with powdered sugar and take off the paper, and voila you have stencils. You can also frost them to look like a football field with yardlines. Chex Mix White Chicken Chili-with tortilla chips, jack cheese, chives and jalapenos Or how about an easy dip-take a brick of cream cheese, pour over a jar of jalapeno jelly, and serve with crackers...looks like so much more but it's so easy! |

We're having Wylie's Mom's Artichoke dip because it sounds delicious, bean dip and Buffalo chicken soup. The bean dip is just Cream cheese, refried beans, and shredded mexican cheese layered and baked until warmed through. I also sprinkle some taco seasoning on the cream cheese layer. Buffalo Chicken Soup 2 cups cubed and cooked chicken ½ yellow onion, chopped 3 stalks celery, chopped ¼ cup unsalted butter ¼ cup flour 2 cups fat free or 1% milk (No fat content higher than 2% or it will curdle) ¾ cup chicken broth 4 oz Velveeta ½ cup Frank’s ½ tsp garlic powder Use a 4-6 Ounce crock-pot. Make a roux using flour and butter. Set aside. Chop the onion and celery into crock-pot. Add the chicken, broth, and milk. Add Velveeta and garlic powder. Stir in the roux. Add hot sauce. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours. I got the recipe from crockpot365.blogspot.com |

I polled my husband last night to see what he wanted to eat and he wants Hot Onion Dip. It's a super simple recipe. 1 large onion (I prefer Vadellia sp?) 1 Cup Mayo 1 Package of Kraft Italian Crumble Cheese 1 Tsp pepper Mix together and pour in a baking dish. Bake 375 for about 45 minutes or until golden brown on top. Serve with cracker. |

Right now your local grocery store should be carrying the free Jello jiggler molds of football helmets and footballs. You get it free when you purchase Jello. I bought 2 sets of 2 yesterday. On those is a little booklet on how to create the colors so you can have team colors for your jigglers. I bought these, not for superbowl, but for next football seasons end of the season parties for my boys that are in football. :) They don't have a recipe for white, but that is really easy to make, or you could use the champagne jello even though its not really white. Also you could try Spinach Artichoke dip, which is a big hit here: 1 bag frozen spinach thawed, drained 1 or 2 (I use 2) cans of artichoke hearts in brine minced garlic (however much you prefer) 1 8oz block of cream cheese 1 8oz package swiss cheese 1 6oz package parmasan cheese 1 stick butter (no substitutes) enough milk to thin dip to desired consistancy salt and pepper to taste Or you can do veggie pizza 2 cans of crescent rolls, rolled out onto large baking sheet, like pizza crust 1 of each red, yellow, and green bell pepper raw broccoli and cauliflower florettes 2 8oz blocks of cream cheese 2 pkgs or 1 large pkg of ranch powder mix (located by salad dressings) Bake crust in the oven until golden. Mix the ranch powder in with the cream cheese and spread on cooled crust. Chop up all veggies and sprinkle on the "pizza". Simple and delish. |
Chili Cheese Roll-Ups Here's one of our family favorites: 2 packages cream cheese (regular, low fat, no fat) 2 cans chopped olives - drained 2 cans chopped chili peppers - drained 1 small bunch green onions finely chopped - use both tops and bottoms Jalapeno peppers finely chopped or habanero sauce to taste 1 package large flour tortillas (square them up a bit :) ) Your favorite salsa Soften cream cheese and thoroughly mix first five ingredients. Spread on the the flour tortillas. Roll them up as tightly as you can without the cream cheese mixture squishing out. Refrigerate for a couple of hours so that the cream cheese can firm up and make slicing easier. Slice in 1/2" to 3/4" inch pinwheels. Serve with your favorite salsa. These little flavor powerhouses are sure to please! |
