What Is The Best Advise You Ever Got It can be on any subject and I'll reserve mine for the present and add later. |
When in doubt, LISTEN, don't speak. |
This doesn't qualify as great advice but it did make me laugh thinking of my mom's "words of wisdom" when I was growing up. 1. It's just as easy to fall in love with a rich man as a poor man. 2. Tan cellulite looks better than pale cellulite. Yeah- I know... pretty bad.:p My mom and I are great friends now but she'll be the first to admit she was never up for mother of the year.:D |
"It's time to resign as general manager of the Universe." |
I'll mention mine now since I have to go grocery shopping in a few minutes. My son showed me a way to get a little space on my computer but I mean LITTLE haha. The best advise I ever got was from my Dad. We lived through the depression and I think this holds true at any time and it was "Take care of what you have" and that is so true. If you have to keep replacing because it wasn't taken care of, you just never get ahead. He meant not only with things but family, animals, cars and things. I can still see him waxing luggage so it would hold up longer and until I got older I didn't realize just what good advise that was. |
be true to your teeth and they will never be false to you lol |

LOL I never heard that one before but it's sooooo true! No matter what your family will always be your family. Support each other and stick together always. |
Dont ever expect...and you wont be dissappointed...(my husband says this all the time!):) |
Just keep swimming. |
If at first you don't succeed.........cheat:rolleyes: xxx |
YOU will need good credit:D |

LOL! I love #2!! |
From my Grandmother: 1. Don't believe anything you hear and only half of what you see. 2. Whenever she caught us scratching she would say: Ain't no use rollin' 'em over, they got legs on both sides:D. (Always loved that one;)). |
Nothing beats a try but a failure!:) |
Never to write a poison pen letter..it will come back to haunt you. Also when super mad about anything...give it 24 hours before saying anything...you will be amazed how the situation looks differently in 24 hours and may save you tons of grief.;) |

Everytime my DH is contemplating on a purchase or if I can't seem to make up my mind I just say out loud..... When in doubt do without....and that does it! |

"Be happy" That is the best advice I've ever gotten. It has taken me places and I feel that despite all the obstacles in my life, if I'm happy I find my way around them and ALWAYS come out better on the other side. Not to mention, whether Im happy or mad, the stuff still happens, so why be mad about it all the time when being mad only weighs you down and does not fix the problem. |
My mom preaches this:- Don't take in to heart the negative (that include rude) things that other people say to you. Just listen and forget. You will be happier that way. |

Never give up your dream . |
A good one I wish more people would practice: "If you can't say something NICE, don't say anything at all." And of course, "What comes around, goes around." |

1.Dont judge people....its not your job... 2.Treat people the way you want to be treated... |
"Treat your family like company, and your company like family" |
