I try to deny any truth there but I can't help but notice "plumper" older women have smoother faces.

does this one count? i mean, even if it's not really an advice, it's pretty darn funny! :p

Men are like parking spots, the good ones are taken and the free ones are handicapped.

The best advice I ever received about raising teenagers...

Pick your battles carefully, and arrange it so you say "yes" much more often than you say "no". ;)

Don't ever force a teenager to lie to you. Ask your questions in such a way as to promote truth. Instead of..."Did you brush your teeth yet?" Say, "Please remember to brush your teeth."

Those pieces of advice don't sound like much, but they have made a HUGE difference in my relationship with my children. :thumbup:

AMEN!! I totally agree!! :thumbup: I have 3 teenagers 19,17,14, and a 10 year old. You hit it on the head.

:p My children have found "value" in the advice I have always given them, especially for them when dealing with their mate: "If I can help, please tell me! If I can't, I don't want to hear it!!" :thumbup::thumbup:

My mom always asks; do you want advice or a sounding board? I always opt for advice- I'm not a dummy!:p

Don't confess to anything they didn't catch you at!

Wish I could give credit where credit is due but I don't know who said it...it was the last thing I heard as I headed out the door to go to the principal's office when I was in 5th grade!

Also...I made this one up and I tell it to my neices and nephews...

It's o.k. to learn from other people's mistakes! You don't have to create the same issue just to see if you get the same results.
